So... I have 1 of these. Really, really nice.... It comes with a remote but I was never able to connect it to a hub to be controlled through the app, mind you I have 1st Gen hub so maybe that's why from what I could find through Google.

I’ve added these manually to the app before using the serial number, give that a shot

Yes- from app- add light from setting- then enter serial number manually- it will add. I done this several times- and I have gen 1 bulbs and gen 1 hub- works with gen 2 hubs as well.

Remote came with the older version of the lamp. Works perfectly directly, but if is either remote or bridge. (there is a way to have remote working with lamp directly, while it has hub connection. You can find instructions on YouTube. But it is really tricky to setup...)

But lamp is nice.
You guys are absolute stars - I've had one of the earlier Iris models for years and have tried loads of different methods trying to connect it to the hub. I just put in the serial number and it worked immediately!

Gah - I ebayed an original iris and replaced with this version. Awesome info in this thread, if only I'd known last year!
Only 2 available online now...
You just have to press the sync button on the hub then
the on button on the remote and the favourite button one (simultaneously) and hold them both until the hub lights flash.

This works for very old Livingcolors lamps. The only livingcolor lamps you can’t sync with the hub are gen 1 lights which came out in 2007. Gen 2 came out in 2009 which are compatible with both bridge types.
OOS
