About 2m then you can add extensions. Gets real expensive though doing that.

Got two of these new on Amazon £45.99 a few months ago (this version) but think this is the cheapest price today. Problem is with latest version (purple box) is only the end furthest from plug can be extended (think about it). You can of course take them down but then you have to reapply double sided tape again! One thing to add the performance is absolute total top class and and if needed I would buy one at this price.

That’s interesting, I only use the hue stuff. But have you used this and linked it with the hue hub?

I haven't used this one. I've got a JIAWEN one that only does RGB, that's working fine behind me now (which was £35 including 5M of RGB LED).

I've got one of these coming from China in the next few days aliexpress.com/ite…tml again only RGB though, paid about £20 for it.

I only found the one on Amazon the other day but people in the reviews haven't had any problems adding it to their Hue setups. I'll probably end up ordering one after my recent China one arrives.

I've got Osram, IKEA Tradfri and JIAWEN mixed in with my Hue stuff. All work well, except for the Osram are pretty poor in their colours.

Very interesting. I've wanted some Hue-compatible RGB for a while but didn't realise you could get zigbee compatible ones. Any advice on which RGBW strips are worth getting?

I've not got any RGBW ones because my current controllers are only RGB. But anything that's 5050 SMD 60LED/Metre should be suitable. Something like this amazon.co.uk/Hoo…031 getting one that's Fulfilled by Amazon is pretty good because it's pretty easy to return them if you don't like them.

Does starter kit include hub?

Nope not with this. The bridge (hub) is a different product. The starter kit refers to the to the strip because it comes with control box and plug as it can be extended with additional 1m long strips (on there own). It is confusing I agree as all the other "starter kits" have a bridge with them.

Sorry I missed the question mark. It was a question. Spotted it's ZigBee so just need to find a device handler. Thanks

Can't help you with a Handler as I use the Hue Bridge with SmartThings.
