seems to be pretty cheap for the lux starter kit with the colour changing bulbs

Sadly, these are the (warm) white only lamps.

And the picture shows a version 1 bridge, is that what's on offer?

This kit includes 2x Hue Lux E25 bulbs and 1x bridge.

I have the v2 bridge and if all it does is siri, don't bother, the Siri support is garbage. Mugged me off too many times in front of people, makes you look stupid

The part number listed indicates it is.

Having said that, I would heartily agree! She has been useless and slow, and frequently has to apologise "Sorry, I didn't hear back"! iOS 10 seems to have improved things a little.

Version 1 is not 'HomeKit' compatible (if you need that) and also version 1 bulbs are a lot dimmer that the newer version 2 bulbs

The v1 works fine, saw a YouTube video with it all operational

If v1 works with Amazon, then sweet! I'm sick of

"Here's what I found on the web for turn my lights on". Siri, such rubbish

It's available online. It's almost guaranteed to be V1

saw it online this morning. not sure whether to get these or v2. I have no apple gear so don't really see much point in v2 unless others know otherwise

As far as I understand, homekit integration is the only advantage for v2
