Looks like the cheapest Amazon has sold it for, the switch alone is worth £20 and the bulb £15.

just need a deal on the light strips again... although I have filled my hue bridge now so need to add another
Just starting out in my home automation quest and been waiting for an offer on these. Just bought a couple, thanks.
So in order to use this with an app/smart device, I also need the bridge. This is just a remote controlled bulb in it's current form?

Doesn't the bridge support 50 bulbs?
I'm thinking about getting the light strips but I'm struggling to understand how they work. Do they connect wirelessly to my bridge and can you cut strips and have them in separate locations?
So I can't control these directly with IFTTT? I need the bridge first?

The strip does connect wirelessly to the bridge and is controlled in the same way as any other hue bulb. They can be cut (although be VERY careful doing so), but the new strip that was cut from the main strip will not work. Effectively the cutting is only useful to shorten them.
You can buy an extender to make them longer for about £20 though...

You have 50 hue lights?

Do you live in Blackpool by any chance?

Are these American?

Does the supplied switch look like the photo.. or is it a UK standard one? As that thin thing in the pics looks European or American and wouldn't replace a UK switch..

You can use the bit cut to add to another strip tho!
I was wondering... These are showing delivery of 1 - 2 months

The switch isn't plugged into anything, it runs off a battery. The surround has double sided tape on it for wall mounting and the switch itself is magnetic so can be removed to work as a remote.

Amazon at Xmas is usually a good bet during the Lightning deals. Had a couple of starter kits from thoses for £70ish for 2 strips n a bridge.
Suspect the new adjustable white temperature bulbs might be coming out hence these being on offer. Still hot though!
Personal? What happens when someone else tries to use it?
I use these with my Ring Video Doorbell when I am abroad so it looks like I am in by turning on the light when I answer the doorbell on my iPhone in another country.

I am waiting for a robotic vacuum cleaner for my artificial grass as I still haven't found one.
Gone back up. :-(

Woohoo another ring door bell user! I'm finding iftttt bit of a pig to set up but doing similar things with ring and hue
Seems to have Expired (I can't see on amazon at that price any longer)
I have 50 lights, yeah. Whole house is done. Kitchen alone has 12 Phoenix Downlights.

Actually the bridge supports more than 50 the limitation I hit was the "routine" limit of 100 which is easily done now they add 6 for each dimmer switch.

I also use ring doorbells. Good product.
