Well they look awesome! Anyone any idea on quality/UX?
I do like the double pack but it’s such a rip that you only get one plug

Seriously!? That's such a scam
The additional light is powered off the other unit

Each plug can power 3 units which is why only 1 plug is included. Not great if your intention was to just use one and put the other in another room but as they intend for you to use multiple in each location it makes sense

Ah ok makes sense! But of course youre limited to having them within a certain distance from eachother?
I have these, and while they are pretty nice and integrate well with the rest of the Hue ecosystem, however I find that the light is much more concentrated than with the light strip.

Voted hot but keep in mind Hue and other smart home products are regularly discounted, Black Friday is around the corner and this double pack with a Hub has been £104.99 previously on Amazon - plus other deals with a third light etc

No, they’re powered from the plug, not daisy chained. One plug supports 3 units.

A lot of tge promo material is for them to be either side of a TV/monitor. If you are looking at having in different rooms or need distance check out the bloom. I have one and highly recommend, gives a nice splash of colour on the wall.
ANyone tried these with ps4/ switch?

You’ll need the Hue Play Sync box to get these to sync to signals from HDMI. Haven’t seen it in the UK yet and it’s $229 in the US.
If you use these behind or by your TV, does not make sense to get led strips? Much cheaper, some of them are quite good.

Unless you are using a computer as a media server, there’s a free hue play app that syncs your lights up. Works wonders

This is true, doesn’t work for a PS4 or switch tho
I have a older Philips Ambilight tv with left and right lights. I then bought a couple the Hue Play lights and placed them on the TV unit below and then synched it with the TV. The lights all change according to the display on the TV.

I’m aware of that, but it means you can’t place these on opposite sides of the room or, y’know, in different rooms
Highly reccomend these, I have 2 behind my TV, very good lights
