Philips Hue range 20% off with code @ BT Shop

BT codes don't come round often nor they do many great deals but just got an email for 20% on their Philips Hue range. I got a bulk of bulbs with Argos home25 discount but they have since take the smart lightings range of their Home list so this may be useful for some.

Works great with Alexa which I think Maplin might be selling with £20 off or something at the moment?

Code I got on email is HUE201004. Hope this works for you.

It definitely does work via that link that's how the vouchers are configured. If you can confirm what item you're having an issue with we can check but as long as you've accessed via this link - perhaps having first cleared your cookies - it'll work. Also worth trying copying the URL into your address bar incase this page is changing the URL formatting.

Is the photo of 'Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance Starter Kit UK (B22) *V3' not a picture of the 2nd gen? Just looks different to the screw in bulbs which have a white body instead of silver.

As far as I gather, BT don't keep excessive stocks so likelihood of old stock shouldn't happen, especially when they state quite clearly it's the V3 they would have to honor or refund should they send out old models by accident.

PS, bt_shop - you know it's true but I posted your promotion so who knows.

Didnt work on the GU10 bulbs starter kit, but added a discount on the dimmer switch i also added only. So maybe a problem with the GU10 kit link

Still working as of the time of this post!

Doesn't work on the £59.98 starter set despite advertising the discount but does work on the £99.98 starter set, its a bit misleading if only some products work when it implies that all products are included.

I agree. I'm after the bayonet colour starter kit but it keeps rejecting the discount code. Annoying seeing as the code is advertised on the website!

hey guys - shop.bt.com/pro…tml is this the item you're trying to buy? This is definitely in the offer as it's on the landing page, and we've tested it to work...can you advise?

Just tried via the link and code worked for me on 2 x B22 white bulbs and the motion sensor. Thanks. Heat added.

well i would add some heat but clearly its expired so i cant.......strange.

Can confirm the code works on the white starter kit as linked above. It works on all 5 starter kits, couldn't be bothered to prove more, but Mr BT Shop is right, it works.

Good find!
Shame they don't have the Hue Go. I'm also looking to get a motion sensor and this seems the cheapest option at the moment.

it's a deal, but there is only one bayonet style set available, shame.

Adapters 84p on ebay

These are still expensive for a light bulb!

Edit:- also the product offer packs from Philips are a total mess!
Edited by: "ashman33" 11th Apr

I've been waiting for something to compel me to pick up some more of these.

Shame the E27 Ambiance bulbs I would have picked up are a fiver more than Amazon's BAU price to start with, so don't even break even with the code

I use Smartthings motion sensor, cheapest I can get is Currys or Amazon - but it does require the ST hub...

Indeed I have now a collection on any of these converters SES GU10 B22 E27 and the small B..something...

Anyway, a couple of thing to be aware with converters

Some E27 bulb socket (where the bulb goes) could be a bit long or narrow so make sure that's not the case if you want to buy some 'slimmer' version of the converter
Don't get the GU10 and try to use it with normal lamps as it's too focused and I find them not bright enough overall - though they do obviously work.
A converter will add at least an inch or so to the overall height of the bulb so make sure it doesn't make the bulb pokes out

Don't give a *#+= about the heat but strange that it doesn't work for some...I'm at work and not logged in and I can see full range with "use code hue201004 for 20% off..." using link on post #7

Edited by: "scmk3000" 11th Apr

Works absolutely fine for me.

However, I only wanted a couple of extra £15 bulbs. With 20% off I saved £6 which is cool, but then there is £3.49 postage.
Not really worth it for an impulse purchase.

Didn't get me this time HUKD

Great deal for those spending a little more money though.

Agreed, only worth the while if you are starting up or wanting to buy quite a few of the bulbs. I don't have any of the colour ones either as I dont really see me wanting to be in certain shade of red or green or blue....
You could however sync it with movies which I suppose is one way to enhance your movie experience..

I also SEE "use code hue201004 for 20% off..." when using the link but when I enter the code it does not work!

On what sku OrribleHarry? Shoot me a DM if needs be - but if you've gone via the link we've said (clear your cookies if you've been trying various links) and its a sku on that page it will work.

No prob
If you want to go further into home automation inc security, Smartthings would be a good one to go as it runs both zigbee and zwave - most of my stuff are on the latter like dimmers and door lock and thermostats

Isn't B22 a "normal" bulb?

The picture on the site shows a screw cap but I'm sure B22 is supposed to be the normal bayonet?

Yeah B22 standard

There is at least a £3.49 delivery charge on top but, in most cases, the 20% off outweighs that.
