It's led, so won't give too many Lux. About 60w equivalent. So you will need 2-3 for a room (I have 4 in a bedroom)

They were on 3for2 deal several times rece, resulting in approx £24 each.
Wow, 2 bulbs for £64? Is that a bargain? What's the difference between these and the Philips white hue bulb that was on offer here for a tenner the other day? Just that these are colour, no?

Yes pretty much... the white bulb was a deal I posted too haha... basically the white bulb can be white 😯 or dimmed versions of white. The colour bulbs apart from being much more expensive in comparison are exactly the same in their compatibility and setup (hue bridge work with Alexa ect) but do have a full spectrum of colours. With this you can create “scenes” so for instance when I’m watching a movie I select my movie scene and the selected lights to work with this scene will change to the colour of my choosing - a dim blue - it’s all very lazy and realistically needless but it’s addictive and is very cool

On that last bit with the scene lights.
Do you mean the lights change automat or do you have to set it up.
Say if your watching the football do they turn green? Horror movie they go dim and blue?

You set it up to what you want. That depends on how many lights (bulbs) you have of course but in my set up... bulbs in every room ... I have upstairs downstairs and then more specific scenes so front room kitchen hallway and then more specific still scenes for activities... so in my games room by asking Alexa or a touch of my phone in the hue app I can set the room to a dim green for Xbox or a bright blue for playstation, it won’t do it just because I turn one of them on, it needs to be set via app or Alexa but you can set a scene for anything you like basically. It has preset scenes in the hue app as standard and you add your own, so on your example the lights wouldn’t know what your watching but you can set it up so within a few clicks or by saying Alexa go to horror scene (or similar) the lights could then go to what you have set - green for Football and blue for horror... furthermore as it’s hue even within the scene you can still change and play without disrupting the scene setup so you could put your brightness on 100% turn it off and then when you select the scene it will still revert to what you had originally ... unless you change the actual scene...

Hope that helps! Long story short the world is your oyster! Or mauve, or salmon, or a nice e blue ect ect ect

Just an fyi you can set the bulbs to a colour as part of an activity, if you have a harmony elite (or harmony hub) remote. So for example if I turn on my media center I can have it dim the lights down and turn a reddish colour
