It's saying RRP £29.99 on amazon but on the Hue site as I have the 20% TOTUM (student discount) they are £44.99 on site.
I literally just did this looking at what sort of bulb I needed in the hallway.
4 of this exact same bulb for £49.46?!
"Searing white hot filament" my ass, it's a vintage style led designed to give out the equivalent of a 40 watt true incandescent filament lamp at max setting!
Plus these are dimmable .. so adjust to your preference.
Was that 4 for £49.46?
I bought 3 for £53.97 from John Lewis but I’m now wondering how that’s different from this deal..?
Your are wrong you can see in the photo clearly the issue although a dimmed version is much better. Lamp shades were invented for a reason.
Can confirm my kids got upset whenever we turned on our trendy pendant lights with these exact bulbs fitted.
We've replaced them with some hue candle bulbs and retired the filament version ontop of a bookcase. I wasn't prepared to how intrusive these would be, even if in your peripheral vision.
Why did they get upset?
Ever been on a long road trip in the car, it was cloudy when you left so you pack the window sun visors away, then halfway along M4 the winter sun is blindingly piercing through the rear windows of the car and they can't focus on anything else other than how uncomfortable it is? As if it was a form of punishment you'd devised on purpose and something must be done instantly to prevent it, otherwise it will become the worst day of their lives? No...?
Well these bulbs triggered a PTSD moment based on that specific experience. And yes, I'm a soft parent.
They probs have sensory processing issues, god help them if they were around when all light bulbs were tungsten filament and supermarkets had actinic 'daylight' blue flourescent tubes that strobed.
Lol
Lampshades were first used on candles, you think these have searing hot white light too?
These have an amber coating and Philips who have been making lightbulbs since 1892 say they are "designed for an open luminairre."
You are wrong, my friend.
