Not bad for the new gen ones, just a shame they aren't doing the White Ambience on 3 for 2, only the older generation ones

From what I've read. The only difference with the new ones is you dont need the hue hub so if you got that makes no difference
Can only get 2 in stock everywhere I’ve tried
Not bad but worth getting the ambience so you can change the white temperature. These can only dim, and I think the default white colour is too yellow for bathrooms/kitchens.

The lenses for the bulbs appear different too. Nothing big but I just bought some of the new colour GU10s so would have been nice to have them all match. Not that it matters I can't find anywhere at Argos or Currys that has any quantity of 3 packs to collect hah

Same here, unavailable for delivery and only 2 available for collection everywhere I’ve checked

The new ones are smaller and fit properly into GU10 space. Others might be too deep for some fittings.

Yeah sorry, I know the newer ones of these are slightly different in size
No store has more than 2 in stock so another pointless deal from Argos....
My local store only had 1 in stock so when i ordered 3 for click and collect i got 2 order numbers.1 to collect now and 2 further to collect on Sunday. Not sure if these means i reserved the last 2 that they had at their warehouse then?

The Bluetooth White / Shades of white are same size. It was only the colour bulbs that were too big for flush fittings, which are now normal size at least with the new gen
Not voting either way as I can’t find enough stock within 50 miles of me.

But buying 8 (not on offer) is £20 cheaper than this deal for 6? :/

I beg to differ, I checked as soon as it went live this morning and there wasn’t any stock anywhere remotely close to me.

Have you tried the argos stock checker website. It's a separate alternative site that shows live stock

Are you sure you are looking at the same thing? Surely if it's an offer 3 for 2.. how could it possibly be cheaper to buy 8? I havent looked in depth into the prices of these so I could be wrong

Just had a little look and I see what you mean, perhaps they are the older ones?? I'm not too sure
Chris_Kane22/11/2019 08:19

Is the 8 pack not a better deal?https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8860493

How do you mean?
The 8 pack is £79.99 so £9.99 per bulb
The 3 for 2 deal is 6 bulbs for £49.98 so £8.33 per bulb?

Is it not £50 per two pack, i.e. £100 for 6?
No, my bad!

It's £50 for 6!
Heat added!

I always use checknow.co.uk, that’s how I knew there wasn’t enough in stock. Most stores if they had stock only had 1

Also the 8 pack hasn’t been in stock for months. And these ones are the new gen with bluetooth

I looked at 0830 this morning and there were none in stock! (Not as bad as Curry’s though!)

I managed to randomly find 3 packs at the Argos in Springfield Sainsbury's, Chelmsford. I think they had 4 packs total. I was sceptical TBH but I received an email to say they were ready to collect and sure enough, all 3 packs there.
Just using them straight from Google home at the moment. It's seem to have it moments with all of them randomly not turning one On/Off correctly or dimming. I have 4 Google home devices dotted around the home so not sure if this having some kind of negative affect.
Also make sure you add them to the Hue app before you add to Google! It doesn't work the other way.
