Yeah I'm positive. All my payment methods and addresses from my UK account are all in there too. Works for any of the Amazon website including US.

Yes you just log in with your normal account details. You just have to pay the international postage. Used Amazon.de, Amazon.fr and now Amazon.es for similar offers. You just need to remember what button you normally press on the english amazon

Yeah judging by the shape of the bulb, it's the warm white version.

Looks like a great deal, well spotted OP thank you ....ordered ... obviously heat added

It looks like the express delivery costs just 1.5 euro more than the standard delivery and i have been given delivery date of 11th Dec for express, with standard it was 15th to 18th Dec.

ok must have changed in the last year or so as i had to make new account when i signed up before.

Quick question, how do the switches work? Right now I have a 2 gang switch that controls the wall lights and ceiling lights separately. Could the switch be programmed to control both and still keep the functionality of being able to choose whether I want the wall lights on or the ceiling light ?

I believe the dimmer switch gets bound to one group of lights and just controls. on - off, dim or brighter. Therefore you would need a second dimmer switch or the hue tap if you want to have multiple groups of lights defined under one control.

If you made a group with wall lights and ceiling lights in one group then you would effectively be able to control all with the same effect off one dimmer switch.

You would however be able to turn the lights on and off with the existing light switch but the whole idea of smart bulbs is that really they should always be left in the on position.

With the phone app however you would be able to control each set of lights individually or with alexa for example. So you can do what you want just not solely with the one dimmer control

Think you would need a separate switch for each set of lights. I had a similar issue and got one of these off the bay and a second switch Hue double

No you can work round it. I have iConnectHue as an App.
It lets you remap each button on a switch for different controls.

So you could map on for ceiling and up brightness for off.
Then set hold of each button to be brighter/summer.
Then set the wall lights to the bottom 2 buttons.

It treats a press and a button hold as different actions.

Going by the reviewers pictures on amazon.es, I would say yes. One picture shows the plug with 2 pin and uk 3 pin adapters.

You haven't needed to create separate amazon accounts for years. So your "year or so" statement is incorrect.

Gracious.

For anyone looking at these on ebay, the seller tends to add more stock on a Sunday night. They sell out fast.

I have one and while not as nice and shiny as the old light switch it's ok with a slightly rough effect that comes from the 3d printing.

It's not a perfect solution but it does stop people turning off your light switches and defeating the smartness

You can get converters from eBay for a cpl of quid

Yeah, but have several uplighters (or whatever its called for a normal ceiling light that is covered by shade underneath the bulb) and there would not be enough room for bulb and adapter.

Having said that I've ordered this as looks like can sell the bulbs on eBay for 10 quid and order 3 b22 bulbs for £20 from Amazon yesterday. Might have one or two e27 lights somewhere too.

So I decided I couldn't warrant spending silly money on smart light bulbs and then this deal comes along. Heat added and now I'm a bit poorer. Pah. Damn you HUKD.

The dimmer is the best single bit of the Hue system. If you use an iPhone get the iConnectHue app and you can program it to do anything (within reason). You can set the On button to do up to 10 things (you click through each thing and click and hold for the next 5). Do the same with the Off switch and the dimmers as well. Also great because if your internet goes down and, the switch can still control everything you've set up on the actions.

Ordered these. Delivery
Now not until Dec 28 to Jan 2. But I'm in no rush. Not quite sure how Much I am saving over buying this in U.K. Hope I don't have to pay customs charges too? I also chose to pay in Euros (rather than choose a Sterling card) as presume that will Be the better rate of exchange

No customs charges to pay when ordering within the EU. Only difference to Amazon uk is that you pay postage and have bit more hassle if you need to return anything.

The google translate ap is amazing! Japanese is debatably one of/the hardest languages to learn so must be/is difficult to translate however it will make not a bad attempt to translate signs in the street in Japan, it has difficulty recognising flowery or vertical characters but will work with subtitles on Japanese television on the fly! Simply amazing to see! When processors and the Internet get faster, it will work even better.
It probably works well in Japan because their DSL is symmetrical
