Seems the administrators don't give a second thought about the price they're setting for getting rid of left over stocks. Nearest store with 1 available it at least 30 miles away.
lol yeah

Sadly amazon don't price match on these eh

Not for Hue bulbs tho.
When I was doing some research I’m sure I saw on the Internet a video of someone adding ikea ones to a Philips hue system and another one directly into a smartthings system

It is possible to control IKEA bulbs with the hue system. There are YouTube videos on how to connect them
Ikea ones retain their setting if the power is switched off. I like the way their cheap on off switches also has a dimmer function by simply rotating it.
I’ve since read the ikea bulbs and kit are zigbee devices so if you don’t have Philips hue yet you can bypass a hue setup and connect them all directly to a smartthings gateway. There’s videos on that too

Hi, I don't suppose you know if Philips hue bulbs are compatible with the IKEA hub do you. I have an IKEA hub and really would like to have a smart bulb (E14) in one of my lamps but IKEA don't sell E14 bulbs at present which is rather annoying. I have a sneaking suspicion that Philips hue bulbs may be compatible but need clarification before I go ahead and waste £30 on a bulb.

Hi, I have read on the reddit forums for tradfri (where there are Ikea TRÅDFRI support responding also) of people saying they have done this. But I haven’t done it myself.

Might be, it can solve a few headaches depending on what you want to achieve. You don’t need the tradfri gateway you can just add the tradfri bulbs to the smartthings gateway. Seeing as you can add disparate manufacturer stuff to smartthings they can then be easily tied together to work across platforms.
Example, say you have google home speaker and you want to be able to tell it to control your lights. Ikea TRÅDFRI doesn’t work with google home (or didn’t when I last looked at it). But smartthings works with google home and so creates that bridge to send simple instructions from google home voice commands to the bulb or groups of bulbs
