Was just about to post this but searched first - good find OP and heat to start you off!
Does anyone know if this can be used directly with smartthings hub?

Reason being I would like the smartthings hub to switch on a tower fan (connected to a smart plug) when the sensor reaches a certain temp

Hey thanks! Certainly a lot cheaper. I may have to buy one if they are easy to integrate and stay rock solid within the system. What are the chances of that?

As I already have a Philips hue sensor earmarked for the job, does anyone have any comments on its viability as to my above post? I.e, can I connect it directly to smartthings hub so that smartthings switches on / off smart plug depending on hue sensor temp?

Yes, motion sensors are set up via app- Philips hue- app; as long as you can use the app with smart thing yes!

Once set up all automated.

If you don’t have hue hub- it’s £34:99 on Amazon now!! If you have Philips hue- you should have the hub : or you miss out on lots and lots of additional features!

So Samsung smartthings hub can see the temperature on the Philips hue motion sensor and switch on/off smart plug controlling tower fan accordingly?

If so that does sound exactly what I want. I can’t even see the temperature on the Philips hue motion sensor using the official Philips hue app!

As this is the lowest price ever I bit the bullet and bought 2.
When you get to Prime day and it is £5 more and someone posts it as a deal I can always link back to this smuggly.....or of course it could be £19.99 and I have spent £5 more than I needed to but had it up and running a month earlier.

I have done the whole waiting for things to get back down to that price for a few things and it has come back to bite me and never got back to that price and I have been watching this product the past year so jumped in.
Just purchased. Heat added.

It can't be done - I have both systems and had to use my smartthings motion sensor to trigger things, as I can't use the hue one. The Hue motion sensor doesn't show as a thing/device in the smartthings app if it's been added to the Hue bridge.

there might be a hack/custom script for smartthings to enable the support - but it definitely can't be done by default.
Great price - just ordered one. Delivery is now Wednesday (expedited) even with Prime, which might be a sign that stocks are running low, so it might be an idea to make your mind up soon if you're thinking about it.

Shame there is no easy way to get this to send alerts to your phone when you're away from home and it detects movement - that would be a great feature !

Am new to this - Is the e27 white and colour twin bulb pack at £57 on amazon considered a good deal?

You can if you integrate with Apple HomeKit.
Even cheaper here at Argos Ebay:

If you want 3 (3 for 2)
This was £17.50 at one point when all Philips Hue was half price (Prime Day I think). Still, it’s the 1st time I’ve seen it discounted since!
Back up to £31-odd now
£34.99 now with no cheaper option.
Price gone up is this expired now?
