But wouldnt you rather blast that hair away with a glorified bar code scanner?

Seems expensive for a USB barcode scanner.

Not sure why the cold votes - it's £180 in Argos when it's about £240 everywhere else so that deserves a hot vote in my book. I almost bought one from Amazon Warehouse at this price with the 20% discount last week but didn't want to risk getting one that was used rather than just open box, so getting one new at this price seems like a good deal.
Whether it actually works or not is another question though! Going by Amazon reviews it generally does, but not for everyone.

Yeah, but how often do you need to buy those things? Because this is 36x the price but you're probably going to get through more than 36 razors + cans of gel in a lifetime, plus does anyone actually like the effort and discomfort of shaving, or is it a hassle you'd rather do without? But that's assuming this would work for you, because it might not and then it would be a waste of £180 - so is it worth the gamble?

You still need to buy the razor and shaving gel to use this as you have to shave first then use it so your not making any real saving perhaps in the long run but certainly not in the short term

Obviously you're not saving anything in the short term - it's £180, which is probably way more than anyone has ever spent on hair removal in the short term, no matter how expensive their aftershave is. But this is for permanent hair removal so it's not meant to be a short term solution.

Even if you only spend an average of £1 per week on shaving supplies (cheap disposable razors + shaving foam), if you're going to be shaving for 50 years of your life that's £2,600. But chances are you spend more on that, with aftershaves or balms, etc.

If this works for you - and, again, it might not, but in theory if it did - you're going to spend a month shaving and then using the IPL device once a week, then you never have to shave again. You've saved a couple of thousand quid in shaving supplies over the rest of your life, not to mention the time you've saved, plus any discomfort you might get from shaving.

Having to buy one last packet of razors and can of shaving foam is hardly a dealbreaker here - because if you're not going to give IPL a try you're going to have to buy those anyway!
