Does the "Class 10" designation not reflect that it is fast? It would be helpful to understand. I can't find any other info about this.

Do you know of a better deal?

Just ordered, thanks a lot.

Taken from Wiki

Speed classes 2, 4, and 6 assert that the card supports the respective number of megabytes per second as a minimum sustained write speed for a card in a fragmented state. Class 10 asserts that the card supports 10 MB/s as a minimum non-fragmented sequential write speed and uses a High-speed bus mode. The host device can read a card's speed class and warn the user if the card reports a speed class that falls below an application's minimum need. By comparison, the older "×" rating measured maximum speed under ideal conditions, and was vague as to whether this was read speed or write speed.

only higher than class 10 is the "ultra high speed" UHS cards ..

Thanks for that. Helpful. So this Philips card isn't really any slower than any other card. In any event, there are numerous other cards on the 7 Day Shop website, all within pence of each other, from other manufacturers like Verbatim and Transcend. Not sure which is the best of the brands, but they've all been around for a while.

Nope it's fine, they were just being a pen is.

It's not slow at all! It's class 10. Very fast for tablets cameras etc. why do people comment when they have no idea!.

What about this for a Microsoft Surface Pro 3?
128GB

CARDS - WHAT IS UHS-1 ?

"UHS-1" or more accurately "UHS-I" stands for "Ultra High Speed" - 1 and is a speed class for SDHC and SXDC memory cards.

UHS-I has a bus interface speed of up to 104 MB/s.

An SDHC UHS-I card will work in any SDHC compatible device at lower speeds, but to take advantage of the UHS-I speed, a UHS-I compatible device is essential.

An SDXC UHS-I card will work in any SDXC compatible device at lower speeds, but to take advantage of the UHS-I speed, a UHS-I compatible device is essential.

UHS-I compatible cards and devices are normally marked with the symbol ,"UHS-I" or "I"

Yeah, and I have a usb3 by philips which is '10 times faster than usb2' but strangely slower - in the real world. Why do people take everything at face value?

You've bought a USB stick by Philips which is slow and therefore everything they manufacture is "slow"?

How jolly simplistic!

USB3 and a micro sd card are two very different things indeed.

without spending a fortune on the UHS cards this is the best speed you can get !

you are uneducated .....

Hot price!

How does 5 Year warrant gives you piece of mind, when the card dies and you loose all your photo etc ?

I received my card today and unfortunately it was faulty. Not recognised by several devices, it simply wouldn't register as being plugged in so its DOA.

Looking for an RMA now, not sure how long it'll take.

*sigh*

I ordered mine when it was on the £9.99...maybe they'll give me a discount

Would this work with a wii u
