Looks quite stylish. Certain I'd never pay the rrp, but it's £52.63 on amazon at the moment and £69.99 on John Lewis, so seems a good deal.

Good deal, heat

Love these phones and the little sounds they make

They don't seem very practical though. How do you see the caller-id when its face down on its base? Seems a fundamental design flaw. Also runs on 2xAAA, Battery Life?

If you look at philips.co.uk/c-p…rey and click on the specs, it states that battery capacity is 550 mAh and power consumption is <0.6 W - taking the worst power drain of 0.6 W, you would get 55 minutes of talk time before you needed to put the phone back on charge - how much power the phone uses on standby is not specified.
I've got 2 AAA batteries in a Panasonic DECT phone and that lasts for a few days if it is neglectfully not put back on the base for charging.
It would be more practical to be able to see caller display without having to lift off the handset, but on balance, IMO, I think that the closed design is more pleasing to look at than an ugly bank of buttons.
I'll get one of these after work, hopefully.
Hot. Thanks!

Bit of a pain having to pick the phone to see who calls as i get at least 10 ppi or similar calls per day.

Have to agree. My current phone as a front facing display but doesn't show the number until you pick up the phone -what's the point? oO

I've got one of these. Pick up the phone, look at the caller display and decide whether to press the button to answer it or not.
It's not that difficult! (_;)

Is this a cordless phone?

gibus

Is this a cordless phone?

yes

The name is in somewhat bad taste. Who wants a phone named after a serial killer?
