Stick with it mate - takes a while for your skin to get used to it. Good find!

It can take some time to get used to the technique, as its counter intuitive when coming from shaving.

Gently hover over the skin, as this will allow the hairs to enter the shaver. If you press hard, you will just push the hairs against your skin preventing them from entering the shaver. And give yourself a nasty rash to boot.

Apart from certain patches on my neck I get a pretty good shave with my one (diff model), also since I often have a week or more growth between shaves, I use this then a hand razor to give and excellent finish which using just one can't achieve.

I know people are voting this hot, but has anyone else actually got this at this price anywhere else?Tried a few Superdrug stores here and all the staff members looked at me as if I was crazy.Judging by the reduced sticker on the packaging, I'd say this was a one off, not sure if that makes it that hot tbh

i was told if any other store has them the price has to be reduced:thumbsup:

I had the first version of this, many years ago.

Not bad but I got through the Nivea cream quite quickly and the special refill packs weren't cheap.

These days I prefer a Quattro wet shave with a bit of post-shave balm slapped on afterward.

my stores out of stock

good find but most stores have not got it, but they have got the Braun Series 3 330 for a tenner

Just a lil FYI from a therapist....if your changing from blades to a shaver system your skin can take 6-8 weeks to get used to new way of shaving so you really need to stick with it if your changing over to give it a fair chance.

I have the same razor and there is nothing wrong with it, shaves well but like other people I can never get to one part of my neck. I paid a little bit more for this razor but not much and have seen them in a few different shops for around £30 after I bought mine.

fab price + heat

I've got this razor. I paid a lot more than this for it, something like 40 quid, and even that price was allegedly a vast reduction. It works pretty well for me - I tend to use it in the shower - although it's not as good as a decent wet shave, it is more convenient. It took some weeks both to get the hang of using it and for the old chin to get used to it.

Interesting thing is that I just forced my tight self to get a set of new heads for it. The cheapest I could find was from the States and that cost something like £24 - just for the heads - in the UK it's around £30. For less money, the OP's deal gets you the heads, the shaver unit and some (ludicrously over-priced) lubricant.

BTW I use the good trick posted by somebody (who described it as "hacking the shaver") of carefully and forcefully opening the lubricant bottle and refilling it with different gel. Otherwise the average price of a replacement bottle is 6 or 7 quid (£4.50 on Amazon at the moment I think).

what did you fill it with

You don't even need to open the bottle of gel, just use a mix of water/shower gel on your face first and it glides over as good if not better than the gel itself. I've been doing this for about 3 years and not caused any problem to my philips shaver.

Shower gel, do you mean shaving gel because shower gel dries your face out even if you wash with it.
