Hi,

Bought HS8020 in boots for £69.99. Now it is awalable on Amazon for £26 less! It is £42.99 only (+free Amazon delivery)

One refill HS800 cartridge costs £7 on a high street. But it is really cool shaver (and after shaving feeling) So I recommend you to drop one HS800 cartridge to you amazon basket. The saver package includes 'demo' cartridge.

The HS8060 seems a decent deal @ £69.99 - so that is what I am voting hot on. The others seem a bit so so for price imho

And welcome!

Granted these are 'cool' looking, but I've got one and in my opinion they give the most appauling shave of any electric shaver out of all the Philips and Remington shavers I've had over the last 25 years

Fair point on that - I use electric more often than not and I'm using a shaver I've had for about 9 years. I've bought and thrown away upgrades in between as they haven't been as good as the original.

Its a phillips for reference

got one of these for christmas they are awful and cut you to pieces

I think all electric razors are pants... but this isn't as bad as some I've used.

As said, only the 8060 is a real deal but then i never use the main 'extra' in it which was the charge/refill stand thing.

cut you to pieces????? these things are not going to do that with proper use.
they are not as close as a blade and they tend to miss some bits but they are comfortable.

what id love to see is cheap stockist of refills - amazon had them for 4.99 a while back but now i cant find any decent priced ones any place.

Thanks, I just ordered a Nivea HS8060, been looking around for a decent shaver for a while, voted hot

I cant believe it, got it today, charged, and started using it, cut me twice, and I was using loads of the nivea stuff! Mine is going back, anyone know another good shaver deal?

I still stink that this is _very_ good shaver. Very fast and comfortable.
I'm not using much gel.

Review here. Also a tip about the shaving conditioner too! This was my main concern as they may stop making it!.

At £69.99 makes buying blades for my old shaver at £36 seem pointless.

Use it in the shower too, how cool!

>> Also a tip about the shaving conditioner too!

saw that elsewhere and it's a good tip, although not tried yet  fwiw though i did have a look through ingredients of various shaving gels and the closest match i could find is nivea's extreme comfort shaving gel (£2.82 for 200ml at asda) which shares around 13 seperate ingredients with the original coolskin stuff. it may or may not be the right consistency but i'll pick some up today to find out and, there's a free sample of the extreme comfort balm to be had from the nivea site too ;-)
