Voted hot. I have it from last 5 years. Still running great . Ability to see charge remaining is great .
I just bought this an hour ago after seeing the three camels email :).
I got the basic model a while back and it's so bloody handy and quick to shave with. I managed to go from a full-on bushy beard to about a half-day of growth in a few minutes. No cuts either.
Does anyone know if you can get a really clean shave with this? And does the blade last long? Ta
In case anyone misses it, I think you move the blade against the grain.
I have the basic one which is great but, how do this compare? Is it worth the upgrade?

Yeah I am after a view of this, want to dry shave as fed up with wet shaving every couple of days, this or Braun series 7 / 9 for the closet shave?

I've ordered this myself, after seeing the cheaper version(no battery time info) for £70 in Tesco last night.

I need something for travelling.

If you want super-smooth skin then a razor is better, but this will shave it down to about a half day of growth and you'll still look very presentable. Importantly it's a lot handier than using a razor.
The blades are meant to last around four months if you're shaving every 2-3 days. There's an indicator on the blade that'll tell you when it's time to replace it.

Great thanks, going to give it a go, I have a beard and just want this for my neck so doesn’t need to be complete clean and hopefully can dry shave with it as can’t be bothered to wet shave every other day!
Also a lot cheaper then almost £200 for a series 9 Philips which I was looking at.

This should be perfect for you then.
The first time I used it I had a serious beard - dry-shaved it all off in no time. Before I had to use a trimmer then a razor, so this is a lot handier.

Even dry it's a lot kinder on the skin than a proper wet shave and no risk of ingrown hairs or anything since you're not getting so close. I've used it once or twice wet with face condiments but I think that just made it harder to shave closer.
Just had mine delivered.

Yes it does. Best shaver I ever bought. Also replacement blades so cheap.
Does this do body too?
Got mine today and impressed, shaves pretty close and really quick on a dry shave too, thanks OP and people who answered my questions
Also used the 50% off on Philips site for replacement blades and picked up 6 for £32.99 so that’s me sorted for a while

50% off, you mean 15%?

Ok didn't see that, just the 15% leaflet in the box.

Found the 50%, but would only allow me to use against one pack of 2 blades. £10.91 including 1 - 2 day delivery.

Great for shaving the face. Don't try it to shave your head, it struggles with soft hair.

I though it would be ok with the trimming attachment. It took me 30 minutes, I'm still not sure its all the same length.
