Philips outlet store on eBay has had similarly priced deals where I picked one up like this in the past. Decent iron, looks nice and doesn’t burn your clothes or ironing board when you leave it face down - it’s a weird feeling if you’re not used to doing it this way but you’ll adjust quickly as the convenience of putting the iron down to the nearest free spot on the ironing board is much more handy than having to sit the iron in a specific position on a holder.

Had a morphy Richards one before this and that was a bit more involved with the maintenance and descaling. If you’re on the fence about this model and you need a steam generator iron it’s a thumbs up from me i would recommend this one.
Seems like quite a lot for an iron. Is this really a good deal?
You will need an adapter for the plug.

It will save you time compared to a normal iron and supposed to give a better finish. It produces a lot of pressure around 7.2bar and 150g of steam. It helps to remove creases.
Normal price is around £300 to £350

Ask the man in your life to cut it off and install a UK plug.

I don't need to, I'm not buying one. However there may be people buying, expecting it to come with a UK plug. It won't.

It’s a steam generator iron, they constantly produce a big amount of steam in their boiler and really speed through the task. They are in a different league to smaller handheld irons. This is definitely a good price.

That’s a bit of a sexist comment, not really needed.

Yeah, I'm allowed to make sexist comments. It's when you discriminate because of someone's sex that it becomes a problem.

If you can't take a joke perhaps unplug your broadband.

But the joke went over your head...I was being maleist as well, most men now a days wouldn't know how to wire a plug either.
