Fantastic piece of kit! Bought one for hubby's 40th and he loved it. We used it on the plane as no entertainment so played it against the seat rest in front and watched a film. Then whilst we were away played it against apartment wall as no tv and the picture was fantastic couldn't fault it. Great price I paid fifty quid more!

I found your story much more exciting by replacing "played it" with "shagged"

Class!

How can 854 X 480 resolution be an HDMI supported... Doesn't HD has to be at least 1080p :-P

Why would you spend more to get a rubbish in flight movie when they chose something they actually like to watch? Same goes for the apartment, why pay more to get a TV when you're on holiday? Not exactly a requirement for most people in their holiday homes. Especially when something like this isn't exactly expensive and will last through several holidays.

HDMI is just the connection - you can send a variety of resolutions. 854x480 is a terrible resolution; it'd be higher res on my phone.

Your phone may well be a higher resolution but you are comparing apples and oranges aren't you? The point of this is a larger screen via HDMI not watching a film on a tiny screen.

I have one of these. We use it in bedroom projected onto a white roller blind. Really brilliant little projector. Plugged into laptop and it mirrors screen perfectly. Resolution looks great at about 5 ft wide projection. Only issue is the speakers are terrible so I set up so play audio via laptop
You won't get a better mini projector at this price

That can't be true you must be lying. warlockuk said:

warlockuk is clearly the expert because he has a phone and never used the mini projector but I'm sure he can't be wrong.

I bow to warlockuk's superior intellect
Having said that I have an Xperia Z which is 1080p on a 5" screen. Believe me I prefer watching films on the Pico pix with 5 ft screen than on the Xperia

As someone said, its comparing apples and oranges.

Edit: forgot to say, the fans in this can get a bit noisy. I would highly recommend anyone getting one to get one of those cheap mini tripods to mount it on. This keeps the air flowing round the bottom and keeps it cooler.

Cant find any stock in North London, interesting offer, if you can get one

what cables does this come with? What would i need to hook it up to my nexus 7?

I see the ACER C120 pico projector is reduced as well down to £149 with more lumens , 100 of them!

Ahh! Seems the Acer only connects via usb and only to windows machines. boo hiss

Yep and it's meant to lag with videos. Those USB only pico projectors are not very good for multimedia

I have one of these reserved but, before I collect, any idea of image size at approximately 3m distance?

i was wondering the same but using Maths... i reckon if at .5 m it is 30cms (12") and at 5m its 120" then 3m would be 72" at 24" per metre!?

I have a 300 lumen LG LED projector and can get around a 100” screen at 3ish meters and that’s pushing it for brightness in a totally dark room. With this you’ll be lucky to get a watchable image at 60 inches.

I reckoned that too and I was hoping that someone would say I was wrong as that's too big for where I wanted to use it.

Looks nice on youtube. Unfortunately no stock in London. Thanks for your feedback. Ignore those taking shots at you due to their mental problems. Looks a good spec/performance wrt price for a pocket projector.

these are crap. crap res, crap brightness.. just get a proper preowned projector for about £60 on ebay with xga res and like 2000 lumen brightness

Just ordered one

does it work with lightning adaptor for iphone 5 and latest ipad?

Picked up one today and a nice small projector. tried it with laptop and even though it was quite a light room showed up well. resolution does get a little grainy about 2.5 m back though. going to give it a try outside when it gets dark but it may be up for grabs if anyone is interested...
