Original price is £100? If so, heat.
£37.99 on Amazon so decent price.
I thought rotary are worse than foil?
My 8 year old Philips is finally dying, and this is cheaper than replacement heads so tempting.

this really is not cool isn't it? I'm sorry mate
£100 in superdrug and £85 at very
I have one. It's a good price for a not good device. As a shaver it's useless although as a beard trimmer it's just about okay. Forget fine neck lines though.
Anyone know if this is any good for pubs or crack beard?

You will look a bit daft in a pub whipping this out.

Cordless only. It's a wet use shaver so, thinking about it, it's a sensible decision from Philips.

I had never tried to use it corded until I read your post - it didn't work.
was one of the lucky people to get it for £17.50 misprice at Boots few years back. it's great! 100% recommend!

thanks OP!

Any idea anyone if this could be returned at any of the Tesco Outlet...On the ebay website it states buyers pay return postage...
I've always found their Customer Service really good, never had to pay return postage, give them a ring 01792 452660.

Is thiss model any good for using on heads ? I know it won't be like using a razor but I'm ok with that .

I'm guessing at that price for postage, you are in Ireland? I've seen that price come up for others on other items.

It's not an EU plug, it's a bathroom plug I believe. I found this out the hard way when I bought mine to France. And it's a relatively poor shave with sub par battery life. The Philips 7000 series is much better and the lithium battery drives it noticeably faster.

Interestingly all of the click range, up to the 9000 series use the same attachment coupling so if you have this one and the low quality heads wear out, you can buy the 7000 (sensitive) or top-of-the-range 9000 heads to fit. BUT, if you do this make sure you get the whole attachment unit and not just the foils and blades.

I got the 7000 as the heads went on this one and I couldn't find replacement heads, I believe they bay be discontinued.

I should also add that the beard trimmer attachment is useless for sideburns, as the longest of the five settings is way too short.

I got this one a few years ago but with 3 attachments and the only decent one is the body hair trimmer (not included in this package) but that fits my 7000 so all is still neat and tidy 'downstairs'.

I know, I'm sorry, I really didn't need to share that last bit!
