Yes, linky
Buy a coffeeduck and you can use just about whatever ground coffeebeans you want, without the restrictions of the ground coffee filled "tea bag style" pods.
I would recommend a Dolce Gusto machine for lattes and cappuccinos... they are also on offer at the moment in Tesco
amazon.co.uk/Mel…ter
that is what I use for mine, got one from Amazon (the coffeeduck) and we use Nescafe Alegria ground coffee. Lovely
Postage is free!!
we've got one . you can buy pods off amazon . that are cheaper and better
By Filtered coffee i take it you mean Ground coffee in which case Yes any kind you choose makes a nice coffee complete with creme!
Silly thing to say but im not that clued up on coffee. When i say filtered i mean the type of coffee you have to put through a mesh and let hot steam pour trhough it. You can't use it as regular coffee as it will never dilute.
Please can you explain a bit more about using coffeduck/cheaper refills ?
cheers
I've never seen decaf ones in Lidl, but then I personally think decaf coffee is pointless. They do Kenyan, Brazilian and Nicaraguan blends that I've seen - £1.69 for 18.
I could, but it would be quicker and more self explanatory to just google search "coffeeduck senseo youtube" where you can clearly see for yourself.
Currently I am working my way though various Coffee direct coffees I got off Amazon when they were doing 2lb bags for £4 a pop.
It is a very cheap way to have expensive tasting coffee.
I have tried the pads - but found them a bit ....meh.
I think this thing runs at 6 or 7 bar and is under extracting the coffee, maybe a little more pressure on the tamper might help. I am using a fairly fine grind but not using espresso beans. For the price this is a fairly decent machine, plus the 2 year warranty is good. If you don't have a machine then in this price range you'd be hard pressed to find better.
PS. The creama surprised me, it not only does it produce a decent amount but also has a lot of cascading.
I think next thing will be either a coffee duck or a similar reusable pod system.
