I bought one and returned when realized it can not make latte or capuchino like other Senseo models like with milk container
NOT THIS ONE

We bought this 3 weeks ago and enjoy our mid morning coffee. If you warm the milk up for 30secs in the microwave first your drink is piping hot otherwise it's still hot but you can drink it.
We buy our coffe pods on e-bay and the ones in Lidl fit this and are much cheaper.

It also saves on electric as it's so quick.
Looks good Thanks for posting

Yes, but that one is 3 times the price and you can buy a fairly decent milk frother for just a few quid. OK it won't be quite the same but close enough unless you're planning on opening a shop!
you either love these devices or hate them, heat added for the deal though!
I would definitely recommend this instead of a electric hand frother. Makes really good thick froth, and is much easier and faster than the electric hand ones. Obviously a machine with a built in milk heater/frother is the easiest option, but it is a lot more expensive. Paired up with my nespresso machine, it is perfect! Probaly be able to pick it up cheaper else where though. I picked it up for £8.50 at the start of this year.

Milk Frother...so whisking the milk? You will still need to heat it up.

A Latte is steamed milked not whisked.

Note the 7825 is definitely NOT the pictured machine in posting #2 above. It has just 3 buttons on/small/large!

current UK models per Philips:

That's for Argos, though.

They also mention that it is the same price on amazon, including the link.

Ooops - apologies Rafeyboy
Though the discussion/ideas/tips is fuller there, and no distraction with imaginings about frothy milk

BTW: I got one of these from Amazon last Xmas at c£35 and when it failed after about 8 months, Amazon were EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD at replacing it with a brand new one (then offered at £100!). While they may be UK tax avoiders, their service was very good. As Argos aren't able/willing to avoid tax as well, perhaps better to buy there as get Philips 2yr warranty anyway - and another poster (in the other thread) said Philips replaced his with new one quickly too.

Looks good, I know it sound silly but if you're using this with the good old kettle job, how do you know how much hot water to add to the coffee, before you add the milk?

Never used it with instant coffee. But I would add the usual amount of coffee you would use (about a teaspoon), then add about a tiny amount of boiling water, 30ml should be sufficient. Give that a try, and if it isnt strong enough add more instant coffee.
I bought one of these on offer last year. As I already had a traditional coffee machine I was dubious whether it would be another novelty item. It most definitely wasn't. I use this machine everyday, its fantastic. It makes lovely coffee. It is soooo easy to use and very low maintenance. I would most definitely recommend this, especially whilst its on offer.
