Agreed. The replacement blades are about £10 each so this seems like a deal to me.
Decent trimmer but battery is a bit poor and mine started to play up after about 15 months. Still a decent price i just wish they stuck some lithium batteries in instead of the poor ones hard wired in.

Is this worth £40?
With the way I grow hair like a gorilla the battery doesn't last long enough...takes two sittings (or to be literal...two squattings) to trim my ass...if you're not a neanderthal man then it'll be fine
be aware this is the TT2039 model with a long charge time.

The tt2040 is the same but has a 1hr full charge compared to 8.
I bought the TT2040 from ebay argos last week for £39.99 less cashback.

its a decent price for this item but the updated model has been available for this price also.

interesting, amazon lists this model (2039) as being newer.

model 2040 (B003LPURPE), first available in 2010 = 1hr quick charge
model 2039 (B0731BQX1M), first available in 2017 = 8hr charge

????
On the box it's got some bloke shaving under his bloody arms.....I can imagine what sort of "bloke" this item is aimed at, then !

Just checked, i've got the 2040 (B003LPURPE) and on a 1hr charge it won't last long at all. risk it and live with the scars!

The ebay listing had 8hr for charge listed as well. Phillips seem to still list both models on their site and doing a comparison the only difference seems to be charge times. Being the faster charge I assumed it was an updated model (along with incrementing number) possibly a different type of battery inside? seems weird they would still stock both if one is an outdated model.

Either way for 2039/2040 £40 is pretty good and keeps the fuzz off the peaches.
For me says £53 pounds not £39 and I’m prime member.

Indeed "buddy" apply that to yourself too

Happy days
I have had this before and unfortunately they are prone to battery issues. One works and the other completely dies down and never recharges.
Philips automatic replace it and are aware of the issues
