Came across this whilst having a look for a new shaver. Looks to be a fair price with some good reviews, averages at £170 on Amazon so there is a saving to be made if you're in the market for one.

I would steer clear as the hex design changes to the cutting heads make this absolutely useless. I wasted £80 on the 5000.

I had a 5000 series as well, was disappointed even after I'd shaved with it, my face felt like it did in the evening after wet shaving with a blade in morning.

Yep. I went from a Philips aqua shave thinking I was upgrading, the hex design means the cutters simply can’t get into all the cracks around your nose area and it feels like the motor is a lot less powerful than the £30 aqua shave.

I have one of these and they are good. I upgraded to 9000 heads that have double row of cutters and improved it more. It needs electric pre shave but no issues with the hex design. I actually prefer it. Moved from Braun and Panasonic and I find it not quite as close but more comfortable and deals with longer growth. It does require a few weeks of training to get the right technique. (edited)
