3 left on the shelf as I picked one up myself and it was good timing as my trusty Waterpik failed on me last week

These are air flossers, not like waterpik. I tried the Philips but didn't like it. I ended up getting a Panasonic (waterpik copy - but better engineering and design).

That is true, thanks DavidL. I would have preferred another waterpik to be honest but this as an alternative seems good value.
Don't touch them, so unreliable. I bought one, wouldn't switch on. Numerous reports of these failing. Seriously avoid. I ended up using Tepe style sticks from B&M. So much better.

Mine has worked fine for a couple of years. It's a great product. My niggle is with the top heavy design that makes it topple easily. 70% of the reviews are glowing on amazon. And 20% 2 and 1 star. I guess you can't please everyone.

I'd buy it again. And this is a good price.

Me too.
Made my gums bleed
Great product. Saved me £££s over not having to buy TePe interdental brushes.

I've used mine for 2 years and it is still working and looking like new. I make sure to rinse it after use, fling the reservoir dry and leave the reservoir cover open. I think this prevents mould forming and blockages.

Also I've not had to replace the head as I found it doesn't deteriorate with use. I disconnect it and place it into a UV steriliser every 2 weeks to get rid of any smells.

Are these better than your general floss string?

You need to use both. I tend to use this first to get rid of the big debris in between the teeth and the gum line. Flossing is then a lot simpler. Just one or two swipes up both sides of each tooth. I then gargle with water.

My final step is to brush using toothpaste with my Oral B automatic. I also use a tongue scraper. You should then spit out as much toothpaste as possible but not rinse with water. This would leave a thin layer of toothpaste which would help to strengthen your teeth. There is no need to use mouthwash as the fluoridation is less than toothpaste.

I would rather brush as the final step to get rid of the plaque. Flossing as the final step doesn't feel quite right as it only dislodges plaque and does not wash it away.

It may seem like a lot of work but you only have one set of teeth.

Made my gums bleed

this is normal and expected for first few days of use. If the bleeding does not stop after few days you should see a dentist.

same for me, died after a year. Got waterpik but after 1 year battery got too weak(i prefer the strong jet). Currently have panasonic, but it has a tiny water reservoir/tank.
