Philips Sonicare HX5350/02 Toothbrush - £27.22 @

Found 12th May 2011
For those who want a Sonicare Toothbrush without the high cost. Cheapest Sonicare I've seen.

Don't believe that a non-electric or cheap battery operated toothbrush can compare to a Sonicare! I've been using them for the past 4 or 5 years.

50 reviews on Amazon and 44 of them are 4 or 5 star.

Lifted from Amazon:

Product Features

-Patented dynamic cleaning action drives fluid between teeth and along the gumline for a brushing experience unlike any other
-Designed with a unique slim angled neck and contour-fit, end-rounded bristles for effective plaque removal in hard-to-reach areas
-Recharge indicator lights blink to let you know when to recharge
-Smartimer encourages proper brushing of each quadrant of the mouth and reinforces the recommended brushing time of at least two minutes
-Easy start: Gently increases pover over first 12 uses, to ease into the Sonicare experience

Are these really that good that the replacement heads are around £12ish. Seems a lot of money to pay every 3 months when OralB brush heads are around £2 each.

Original Poster

It looks like you can get two replacement heads for £13.50 here:…-18…htm

£40.38 for Toothbrush and 3 heads (special offer at Argos).

The 3 packs are for a different series ! They shouldn't fit !

These will : Which is why i posted as they were £15.99 for ages !

Philips Sonicare ProResults Pack of 3 Brush Heads.

* Pack of 3.
* New ProResults brush head delivers a broader sweeping motion and contour fit bristles to help conform to the shape of the teeth for superior plaque removal.
* Fits Philips Sonicare Flexcare models HX6902, HX6932 and Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite HX6711, HX6731.

The 3 pack doesn't fit !

Philips Sonicare Elite 2 Pack Electric Toothbrush Heads.

* Pack of 2.
* Standard brush heads.
* Philips Sonicare e-Series brush heads to fit CleanCare, Elite and Advance toothbrushes.

The 2 pack will though because its a elite series brush. They look different to the standard ones in the argos picture. They will fit though so will the ones i posted from amazon which you can get for £11.48 with S and S or £13.50. They have been in my basket for the best part of 2 months and were held at £15.99 for most of the time then they went up to £18 something then down to £13.50.

I've tried saying this in the other thread i posted as some simply don't understand !

On reflection of owning this toothbrush, next time i will go for one with cheaper heads as it might work out the same in the long run. Having not used a brush from a 3 pack i don't know if there is any difference in how long they last compared to the ones that you use on this brush.

This isn't a place to always go for the cheapest. Its about what works best for you. I had a oral b around 5 years ago when i was 13/14 and i never liked the small circle head which spins personally. I went back to a electric tooth brush around 2-3 months ago after using a manual toothbrush for a few years.

Healthy oral health = Healthier general health. So personally i don't think its a area to buy a product just based on it being cheap. If oral b works for you then great ! If sonicare works for you great ! How long do oral b heads last or ment to ?

I think these are good, only thing i don't like is its impossible to dry and can leave residue on the stand or side ect where its left. I started using it with some new toothpaste (blanx) I noticed a huge difference changing from manual to sonicare. My teeth always seem to feel fresh and my tongue seems to just glide right over my teeth. I still use my trusty manual occasionally. If they are worth the £13+ as i am sure they will be back up soon enough. I can't compare to a oral b as its been a long time since i used one. Untill you try it and compare to your oral b (guessing you have one) You simply won't know .......
