May I ask how?! I have had Sonicare Toothbrushes for years but the battery dies around 12-14months after purchase every year for me. I'm considering buying this in anticipation of my last one bought in April 2015 dying soon.

I only charge mine when it says it needs it (about every 2 weeks) if you keep it on the charger, it will be putting the battery through many more charge cycles, which will decrease the life of the battery much quicker.

I have had exactly the same experience. Battery seems to die inexplicably. I have had maybe four toothbrushes now of the same, or subsequent, model.
Very tempting - I was going to get my battery replaced in my Oral B Triumph for £19.99 (didn't fancy doing it myself), but at this price for a new one, it is tempting to switch brands. Has anyone used both?

Just looking back I actually purchased mine in June 2011. I use it twice a day, charge it about every 2-3 weeks, don't keep it on the charging dock.

If you're in a position where you're just going to throw away your old toothbrush because of the battery, then there are videos on Youtube that show you how to change the battery. Not a 2 minute job but if you have a soldering iron lying about then it might be worth trying.
Picked this up for same price in Tesco yesterday. Also the same price on Tesco Direct
Had my Sonicare Elite since 2005 just replacing the heads when needed. No battery issues but now give up the ghost. Got this and it's great. Think I paid about £120 all them years back and this is equally as good
Thanks for the heads up.
Gone up in price now...
I just got notifiation that mine has shipped
