very good price

can't decide between this and the braun oral-b triumph 5000. i have the latter, which i like and is really good, but i heard the sonicare brushes are better than the oral-b ones. the price for this sonicare toothbrush has came down quite alot though.

Sonicare is newer model (been on amazon a lot less time) and the reviews are wonderful, I also was thinking about which one to buy and went for this one as opposed to Triumph 5000

It sells for 144 dollars in US amazon, a lot more that triumph

Cheers OP. Still you've caused me a dilemma.

Two new electric tooth brushes on their way now.

Who can you give a toothbrush to for Christmas without causing offence? lol

Maybe i should brush half my teeth with one and half with the other? Post the results after a month or two? The other is an Oral B so could be quite interesting.

Guess your other half - mine will get the hand me downs of my old Oral-B sonic toothbrush (I have 4 new brush heards for it)

I had my Oral-B sonic for ages - it started loosing charge a bit and will not last over few days without charging, looking forward to this Philips one, supposed to be really good.

i have an old model sonic and the heads are £27.99 for 2 in boots, its almost worth buying a new one lol

Why not treat yourself this Christmas? It is a lot cheapper than dentist bill!

Terrific find for this ,,just ordered one.

Bought this about two months ago. To say this is a million time better than the Oral B is probably an understatement. I used Oral B for around 10 years prior to that and thought there was no other alternative to the annoying trend of the battery lasting a week when you buy it and going down to about 2 days after a year.

This lasts over two weeks and it cleans so much better!

Sonicare all the way for me. Just binned an Oral-B as it was rubbish compared to the Sonicare.

Thanks ordered

Sonicare are brilliant compared to the Oral B and a fantastic price....

interesting, I actually have this and my dentist said the Oral B is better as smaller head so cleans each tooth properly...

I was going to buy a oral B at some point (only ever used this Sonicare) but judging from above might be better sticking with what I have, I paid £105 about a year and half ago so this is a great deal

Which brush heads does this take?

Thinking of upgrading from my older braun toothbrush...

Fantastic Toothbrush ! fantastic price ! buy it while it's this cheap!

How the hell can you charge £200 for a toothbrush, why not just change the head on a regular basis or dip the toothbrush in some antiseptic fluid, job done. :-)

This link will help select the right toothbrush head spares and by the way the pack 6013 (3heads) is reduced to £10.60 from £19

I think that's why everywhere is is around £80-£100

Would be nice if someone could comment as to which head this uses though

I was going to buy this 2 weeks ago. Glad I didn't.

bough t t wo weeks ago can they refund

Original Poster

Probably the way to do this it to buy it again and return the new one with old order number to have higher price refunded.
You can try and contact customer service, you might be lucky, but they are not keen on issuing refunds.

Someone on the other thread commented on how to get the difference refunded:
"Emailed and said I wasn't happy about paying more - they of course said 'tough', so once the brush arrived I emailed back and said that i wanted to return the brush at it was now £10 cheaper so they conceded. Guess you have leverage until you've used the product as the return and refund would cost them more."

Hope that helps!

How do you find the toothbrush anyway?

Can't believe it, just bought this today for £20 more from Amazon and status says it's already shipped

Just bought it a second time at the cheaper price, hopefully it will only mean i've lost the £5 it will cost to post it back.

just ordered, thanks!
