Half price on the HX6251/40, I can confirm it's available in my local ASDA.

Seems like an excellent price for this model. Two modes (brushing and massage), 2 weeks battery life and good reviews. As always I just discovered this deal a day after I bought a similar model for £45.

Are these things really better than an old fashioned toothbrush? What's your experience as I've never had electric.

I'd like to know too

I think they're amazing! I've had a Sonicare for about 5 years and since using it I haven't had to visit the hygienist at all. My teeth feel so clean and fresh after using it, so much cleaner then with a normal toothbrush.

Same here. It takes a few brushes to get used to the tickling on your gums though. Also not seen the hygienist for years since using sonicare.

This is not cheap. They regularly appear on this site at about £25. Hold out and wait a while....... a lower price for this brand of toothbrush will appear soon.

Are you sure? Not a single one under £50 on first 10 pages:

Also cheaper models have significantly worse battery life (5-6 days vs 2 weeks), I'd rather not carry charger with me on holiday.
