Ordered 2, hot......

Love these things! Heat!

I'm sure these will come in handy, thanks!

how does it differ from a normal extensionpower cord? http://www.minitran.co.uk/images/products/mini5_moulded_extension_outlets_mini5.jpg

Just ordered two...Heat added!

It will have star earthing for one thing.

The reviews seem ok,quite a lot of people say it's a lot bigger/bulkier than they thought it would be and that the lead could do with being longer.

A good price though.

Voted hot but a bit disappointed that you could not just order one. Didnt go through with it.:whistling:

It is a pointless device, or do you miss something? The idea works in the US, where the plug is small, and "power bricks" can be huge, but it just does not make sense with UK plugs. So you get a fancy looking extension cord - not a bad deal, but nothing special either.

PS: I have one, and it is not as convenient as it looks. And the leads could certainly do with being adjustable length.

That's not an extension cord, that's a 6 gang way extension board.
This is individual flexible gang ways (from one socket) that looks like it will be a lot neater and save space in some circumstances.

Just ordered 2 and heat added

Excellent. Just voted hot and ordered 2 with free Postage.I wonder if they will supply?.

Just ordered 2 of these, heat added......great find!!! ;-)

Heat added, cheap price and useful

Looks quite useful, cheers:thumbsup:

It makes sense if you only have one socket where you need more. An electrician would be at least £150.

You`ve missed something. I`ve got plenty of UK items that won`t plug in next to each other, for either space or heat reasons. For example, homeplug networking devices are too wide to fit next to a normal plug on a normal gangway extension. Lots of power packs for computer items that run hot in isolation run too hot when you get a couple of them next to each other.

A good value item, well worth £2.99!

Thanks poster. One of the more useful things I have bought.

Can anyone tell me WTF "dynamic power delivery device" means. What a lot of marketing tosh.

Never the less, I have one and it does a grand job. Not sure if I can list the benefits over a normal extension bar though.

Heat added.

This is no longer in stock. Shame as could have done with a few of these!

Good point. But I got rid of most of the big power bricks I used to have around, and most modern ones are small electronic ones anyway. And if you power brick is running hot, you are just wasting precious energy. Maybe that's where the switch comes in?

The switch comes in useful when you want to turn things off, but what about things that need to be left on? Say a server and a networking switch that should always be turne on for the network to be available throughout the house?

And not all adaptors are small and cool-running - I wish they where but until they are this is a good way to get round the issues.

If you're going to the expense and trouble of having servers and switches running 24/7, and being home long enough to make use of the content stored on the server, then surely you'd have an electrician in to re configure the wall sockets?
This item is to help people live their daily lives, save a bit of mess and electric bill, not to become a slave to technology. It's made by philips after all, not netgear.

ordered 4 yesterday, arrived lunchtime . thanks
