Yes, it's today's PCWorld £xx.97 Deal of The Day (well, mine anyway!!)

Typically £140-£150 elsewhere!!

I didn't grab one, as I've got a Freecom 350HD already.

FIVE on the shelf at closing time tonight in PCWorld, Carlisle, so they are probably in stock in other stores too.

Located with the WiFi network hardware.

SKU is 066882 by the look of things (Google cache of PCWorld web page)

Unfortunately neither do.

My Freecom outputs 1080P though!

Spec for the Philips here:

consumer.philips.com/con…-05

I'll wait for popcorn hour!

plays .mkv and outputs at 1080P via HDMI and is only $180 so hard to get tho!

my popcorn hour is great....but still not a patch on XBMC

Hi
I was thinking of buying a Pinnacle Soundbridge and was going to use a program called VisualMR so that I could control the music from my PC rather than from the unit / remote itself.
Is it possible to do something similar with this Philips?
Thanks
Jeff

Please note that i have one these and have had problems with using this wireless with Windows Vista, works perfect with Windows XP and also works perfect with vista when its linked up via cable, but when using vista and using it wireless you will have problems.
I ha it since the thing was released and loved every min of it with XP but when i updated to Vista NIGHTMARE. Films and Music stop start and reset every 5 - 10 mins so take note

I had one of these and eventually I took it back and got my money back. I decided that the software was just too flaky and temperamental (lots of bugs and system hangs and continual re-boots required). Also, I couldn't see the point of having a remote control for something where the text is so small, you have to stand in front of the unit to be able to read it!

Go for a Soundbridge - preferably the Roku branded.

Apple TV is worth the extra money on the simplicity of use. Rentals will be announced via iTunes in at least the U.S next week with hopefully the UK included.

Wait till Mac World to see if it gets any upgrades before you buy a cheap alternative.

Pinnacle bought Roku, so the Pinnacle Soundbridge is the same thing.
