Reviews from some members here aren't positive. Tales of it freezing up etc. I would love ambilight though. Anyone else have this TV and can provide a review?
My partners parents just got the 50" version. Had to be replaced after a week due to faulty ambilight. Other than that I was impressed with the TV, sound is a bit low though

No, but I did have an ambilight TV about 6 years ago, and loved it
I bought 49" from Argos in Dec 2017 and I love it! The picture is great with vibrant colours, sound updated via Sony soundbar, I think best Android TV experience with updates every 3 months. No problems with it so far.
And thinking seriously about 55" for my living room. The TV itself just look so beautiful...

Bought this exact same TV (55") from AO on eBay in their 20% (£75 limit offer - now expired) last month. Also got TCB knocking it down to £398

Good TV wall mounted, very bright and clear. Really DON'T like Ambilight, which is just OK if you switch off the lights all the time (I rarely do).

One issue I have is that if you feed a computer into one of the HDMI ports and set the port to Computer on the TV, the picture is quite dull. If you set the computer setting to off, the picture is brilliant, but get horrific judder. Am in a discussion with Philips to try and fix, but a major annoyance for me.

Also, again with the computer connection, auto-dimming occurs if you switch between dark and light scenes and again in discussions with Philips to see how on earth to switch if off (as I think I've tried every setting on the TV!!)

In-built YouView is quite disappointing, but I use an external BT YouView box via HDMI and it works brilliantly under that scenario.

Netflix and Youtube implementations seem fast and clear if that's important to you.

TV is a little bulky, not nothing major.

Overall happy with the TV apart from the judder issue and the auto-dimming with a computer connection.
I have the 43 inch Ambilight (2 sided) and absolutely love it! Got it a month ago for 399 quid so this is a fantastic price for 55 inch AND 3 sided Ambilight!

Heat added.
have the 55 inch version, the sound is quite low as previously stated and the amazon app on my TV freezes the TV forcing you to power it off to reset it. the ambilights are a good feature.

Crazy cheap price..paid £525 a while back and happy with the TV. It also links up with Philips hue lights. Would be better if it had an extra hdmi but overall impressive at this price. It replace an old top of the range ambilight and there is no comparison...

Quick tip...The controls did freeze up once...on that occasion Philips CS said switch off and unplug for a minute. Did that and back to working normal again.

It's not bulky, sound is fine, but external sound system will always be better...
£15 delivery charge for BT postcodes, which to be honest isn't the worst, but annoying considering some other companies can deliver such items for free. Heat for the price, and for those that can get it delivered for free.
Can anyone find any info on this set? Professional impartial reviews? I literally get nothing on google
can anyone recommend a decent soundbar ? I have had Phillips tv in past and the sounds Is poor

If you find the sound quite low, you can boost it quite considerably by setting Delta Volume higher. To be fair I have no issues with the sound, mine is mounted on the wall (again make sure this is set in the settings)
Terrible TV's are Philips. I will never ever buy one again! AGAIN!

Ours broke 3 times and had smoke coming from it at one point.... never again!

At a guess your PC is sending limited range while your TV is expecting full range, this is a particularly common issue with NVidia cards. You should be able to change it from 16-235 to 0-255 in the control panel (also called Limited RGB vs. Full RGB).

It's very similar to the 6262 but this one has ambilight along the top as well as the sides (and maybe better speakers too, I know the 6482 does over the 6432).

I bought refurbished: HTCT80.CEK.A from Sony Centre for £40 which has enough power for bedroom and refurbished HT-XT100 for £50 for living room. Bout purchased around 2 years ago and surprisingly no any issues (I read many bad reviews about Sony Centre prior the purchase).

Purchased this tv a couple of weeks ago but had to send it back as smart tv apps namely iPlayer and Itv hub wouldn't stream.

The firmware was updated to latest version but still had problems. As the tv is relatively new I expect further firmware updates from Philips .

The picture is ok for the price. HD channels was fine but I would not recommend for sports fans as there was a great deal of motion blur.
SD FREEVIEW was awful so much blocking and artefacts.
Regarding freeview play guide only iPlayer programmes were flagged as watchable.

With my 4 year old Panasonic tv I could browse through the guide and still have a view of what is on the tv with the Philips you can't see what is on and browse.

There are no IPTV apps to date that you can upload a m3u file so that may be restrictive for some.

Ambilight is a nice feature but above all it's about picture quality and this is where the tv for me doesn't quite hit the mark.
4k is fine from what I watched on YouTube but as mentioned previously the motion blur was off putting.
