Philips Wake Up Light - Most people feel more energetic and fit during the bright and sunny summer season. Both sunshine and daylight have an activating effect on us. When we are exposed to the right type of light, it helps to align our daily rhythm or wake up more easily.
With this in mind, Philips has developed a complete range of light therapy products that boost your energy by using the unique health benefits light offers.

Wake up naturally

The Wake-up Light wakes you up in a natural way, using light that increases gradually, simulating the sunrise.

It has been clinically proven that waking up with light improves your well-being. Several studies have shown that the Philips Wake-up Light truly improves the quality of waking up. Also, 80% of Philips Wake-up Light users confirm that it is a more pleasant way to wake up.

Wake up gently by light

Starting half an hour before your set wake-up time, the Wake-up Light gradually fills your room with bright light like a rising sun.
The light gently prepares your body for waking up while you are still asleep. So, if the wake-up time is set at 7 am, the light will gradually get stronger starting at 6:30.
At 7 am the light has reached its highest level, which you can adjust to your personal preference.

At the set wake-up time, your body is ready to wake up and natural sounds will gradually accompany the light. You will wake up feeling fresh.

Natural sounds, radio or music

The Wake-up Light will gradually accompany the light with sound when the highest light intensity setting has been reached. You can choose to wake up with pleasant natural sounds, your favourite FM radio station or with your personal iPod/iPhone music collection.

I think it comes on gradually which is more like the sun slowly rising behind your curtains than the sudden, stark emission produced by your Mrs when she flicks the switch.

Does not help me wake up. I use it as a radio/bed side lamp

It is un-reliable aswell some days it is really loud other days it is so quite I do not even hear it. Even when I have not changed the settings.

bit expensive for something which sounds like a gimmicky USP

Better than amazon's price, but in reality you never use the light

It is good for me. Light is enough to wake me up.

Anyone want some snake oil?

Bargin, and no one has mentioned QUIDCO, they currently have an offer on this, until 12/9/10, 10% off plus 6.5% quidco, that took the price down to £36 so I added £4 worth of odds and sods to get the postage free (£40) and I should still get the 6.5% on the £36, it's worth saying again, bargin
