Depends, the Xiaomi ones can be linked to a smart phone/tablet and you can control it from an app and also see the quality of the air,how much air it's filtered etc. If you'd value that kind of functionality then the Xiaomi one might be the one to go for.

Would this (or a similar unit) get rid of strong perfume smell in a room? We have a regular visitor who wears a lot perfume
@wakkaday It depends really, if the air is quite dry in your home then the humidifier could be a good choice. Just be careful though because high humidity (>60% RH I believe) and you're going to encourage mould growth and inhaling spores can have a pretty severe effect on your health long term.
