So would a Range Rover but I can only afford a mini but they both get you a to b

great price for a branded Blu Ray player and 3 blu rays you could easily sell for £15/20 bringing price down even further

you'll get cold votes though as these deals are normally for [email protected] brands like "Soyn", Samsgun" & "tohsiba" so you need phillips in the title & HMV not HMW lol

Why, because it's a Sony??? This is a good deal for a not bad player at a good price.

Anyway, I thought you were going to stop posting because of the 'abuse' you were getting??

Cracking find m8

digital coaxial out?
gutted its no optical for my surround system.
oh well the search continues

Good spot, just bought one. The Blu-rays themselves are £8.49 each at Amazon.

This plays MKV's, which is pretty much the only extra I need. Oh, and there is a firmware update available, which improves Blu-ray and DVD playback.

Good price, but I think the panasonic offer last week just pips this

to bad i cant pick it up instore today for farthers day! great deal, top gear siscs to!

Where is it stated it supports MKV?

dont think so

Nice price )

Pros:

Easy to use
Quick start-up time
Terrific Hi-def picture quality

Cons:

No Wi-Fi or network streaming
Lack of built-in memory
No DivX HD and MKV support

Unless the firmware upgrade has sorted the MKV playback!

Anyone confirm this..

tempted

ordered thx OP..... saves me moving my PS3 around every time I wanna watch a blu-ray in a different room!

Dont get too excited about this player, i had one about six months ago.
No optical out. Only plays some mkvs. no firmware update (atleast mine didnt) does play ntfs and fat32.
If you want to play just blu-rays and not interested in mkvs, then its fine, but definatley not future proof.
Ended up selling it for £25. I was after a blu-ray player that had optical out and coaxial, that played ntfs and fat32. If you can get one I would recommend the samsung BD C5300. awesome player, does all the above plus has internet (bbc iplayer, youtube etc) cant go wrong. picked mine up with 6 films fo £50. Dont buy this, you will regret it.

Damn. I knew I should have posted it as a seperate thread when I posted it on this thread yesterday

hotukdeals.com/dea…58/

I'm right in thinking there's no Quidco?

mkv playback ?

You didn't so live with it. No one cares who was first to see the deal.

Exactly what I was thinking?

What would you have gained from posting the deal!

What would you have gained from posting the deal!

Are you serious or just being obtuse?

Answer: the intangible benefit of self satisfaction, feeling good.

I've only ever seen you posting once before and that was on a thread about a San Francisco Orange/ZTE Blade, where you said it wasn't as good as an iphone - ignoring the £300 difference in cost, or whatever it is.

Do you do this sort of ting all the time? It seems very odd.

I second that please tell ??

great price but the phillips blu ray players arnt the best you have to keep updating them weekly to play the new films. sony/lg/samsung are alot better in my opinion.
Good price tho

What is the model of the blu ray player, would love to know if this can be region unlocked.
