Nice, I've got a couple behind my TV, paid £25 each when they were on clearance at asda but never seen them that cheap since.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic, ot really, they do the minimum expected by law. I suppose next to Curry's or ebuyer they look decent but even Argos are better to deal with, let alone Amazon.
From someone who uses regular white light bulbs what is the appeal behind these hue bulbs? I really don't get why you would pay up to 50 quid for a bulb that you can change colour? Do people really have nothing else to spend money on?

Are they linked to what’s on TV? How does that work, do you need an Ambilight tv?

That's part of DPDs service, AO just using their API on the site. Luckily you've bought a Miele so if it develops a fault in a year's time you're ok as Miele will see you right, if it was an LG TV or Samsung dishwasher you'd be in for a fight, from both AO who will say it's not their problem, to LG and Samsung who just won't give a s**t.

I'd like to know this as well? Serious question, what's the appeal? I could understand maybe a tenner on a lightbulb but 50 quid?

Amazon almost unbeatable,Currys a bit painful, once I got to return an order due to fault, got to call them few times and took more than a week ,not sure how AO handle the problems ...
delivery Firm was Expert Logistics not sure if there is any connection to DPD...
here is their website expertlogistics.co.uk

I can inlot answer from my own experience as we have just gone from a small terraced 2 bed to a large 4 bed detached and as part of making it as smart a home as possible, I am doing the lights with hue.

The appeal isn’t just that they change colour, they are also available in just plain white or in shades of white with appropriately cheaper price points.

they dovetail with assistants (Siri, echo, google etc) so you can voice control your lights and dim from 0-100% of output.

Lights can can be grouped without messing around with switches, timers set without timer plugs, controlled remotely via an app / away from home schedule set etc

IFTTT can be used so if your smoke alarm goes off it will set all lights to on for example.

You csn set up scenes so you might want to have ‘movietime’ which dims all lights except the tv back light, or dinner time which dims the main kitchen lights but puts ding table lights in full or whatever.

The colours seem gimmicky for some but can be great for movie watching, relaxing, waking up (the sunrise settings are great) and special events like Halloween and Xmas. They can be synced to music for parties.

theyre not for everyone but they can do a lot. With additional smarthome stuff you can do all sorts.

Do you need 2 or would one central be enough for the effect?

I got hue bulbs, just wondering between this and the light strip for tv!?

Not linked to the TV but I have 2 blooms behind TV and three lamps placed around the room with e27s in. I have a load of different lighting presets depending on what I'm doing/watching. For example I was watching a horror with the Mrs the other night and have a setting saved on the hue app, with blue and purples on different lights and they gradually change to red and greens. The effect is really cool on the night.

I think the lightstrip probably would be better I got the blooms because they were super cheap and it seemed like the obvious place to put them. They also had iris for £30 each l. So I have one of those behind a small TV In the kitchen and one behind bedroom TV. Would definitely like a lightstrip in future.

Its a cheap way of changing the asthetics and mood in a room. If you can't see the value in that, then obviously smart lighting isn't for you.

Clearly isn't for me then. I'd rather spend 50 quid on something more useful

Except for when they harass you to buy their extended cover, and tell you that you won't be able to afford to replace the appliance if it ever breaks...
