Yes you can have it turn on bulbs/rooms when motions detected.
I have 1 in my kitchen which turns on 4x spotlights in the ceiling & 3m of light strips under the units shining onto the worktops

Ok cool. I have a dark hallway going up to the 3rd floor so a motion detector would be great for safety etc.. Plus I can position a Hue enabled lamp out of the way of the pir
