Hot, but I need the B22 flavour, still £24 dearer! Bloody Brexit
Just bought these, thanks OP. I've spent way too much on Philips Hue the last few weeks!

Can get converters very cheap, just try to see if your lampshades will allow for one. Mine fit if I pushed hard enough

Hi, have you any links to where you purchased the e27 lights from. I'm looking to replace the pendant lights in my home with es e27 type fittings. Thankyou
decent price...bit stingy that they haven't included the dimmer as part of the deal
Still waiting on a decent GU10 starter kit price

Most of mine came from IKEA. Plus argos and other online retailers have a good choice. Or you can buy and replace just sockets, if you are OK with such DIY.

Thankyou, I'll have a trip to IKEA, ok with lamps etc just pendant lights. Forgot that IKEA are mostly e27 type fittings. Thanks again

They don’t always fit in everything though. Used them in a lamp for example which had a cover, made the bulb a few cm too long. And they look nasty

You could change the bulb holders in your lights?

I did my whole house with lights from illumination.co.uk
They were the cheap and could filter by e27 fitting which made it easy to find The right ones.

Do you mean it doesn't come with the dimmer? Fair price shame I have 2 hubs already suppose I could sell it....
TBH I don't enjoy the dimmers, had 3 and sold them, Didn't take long for us to adapt, we have alexa for voice control and they work with Harmony.
Are these better than the £13.99 Alexa bulbs Amazon sell ? Or is it just a more expensive smart light with no benefits like Alexa support

Could you post a link to something suitable please? I did some research and spoke to my local electronics shop and all they had were the B22 to E27 converters that add on about 25mm of bulk. Happy to rewire either up to the rose or just the holder itself, but struggling to find any mainstream places to purchase.

I've spent about £110 on Hue kit in the last few weeks and for that I've got two B22 colour ambience bulbs, two standard E27 white ones, a hub and three dimmer switches. I've just forked out another tenner for the iConnectHue and a couple of the in app purchases, haven't really had much time to play, but it's essential IMO if you want the dimmer switch to do anything beyond on/off, static colour choices and dimming.

It depends which Alexa bulb you mean that you have seen for £13.99, some are better than others, some are colour, some are not.
Either way these Philips Hue bulbs are definitely Alexa compatible (And Google home and Apple Siri/homekit compatible for people who prefer to use those).

37685908-6Ej0g.jpgThere are loads of these types of things. Type into Ebay "e27 bulb holder". There are a few variants.
these usually go for £89 on Prime/Black Friday if you’re not in a rush to get some.

Thanks, I'll have another look. My issue was that there didn't seem to be an equivalent to the cheapo <£1 pendants you'd get from Screwfix or Toolstation - there were some styled/'vintage' ones like in your pic but I'm just surprised I couldn't find anything mass produced in the shops.

Yeah I've had the same issue! I got fed up of searching so just used an adapter in mine! I got some these ones in the picture below but the issue is the diametre is too big for the hole in my lamp shade.

Yup, that's very similar to the type I got from my local electronics shop, was about 90p. It just seems odd that Philips are willing to flog E27 kits in the UK which will probably only directly fit Ikea light fittings. I've only ended up with two because it was very cheap to get the bulb with the dimmer.
Maybe this, although I can't see how the lampshade would fit on

Just bear in mind even though it's a .co.uk site, I think the delivery is from the EU so expect to wait up to week for delivery.
Regardless when looking they seemed to be the best priced.
These richer colours are so much better than the old ones I have. Sometimes early adopters pay twice the price twice over
Now down to £98.
