As a trimmer these are great at everything else they get mixed reviews, for me and others they don’t cut close enough to work as a razor, glad I only paid a tenner in the Philips glitch as really don’t think they are worth all of the money.

Saying that others seem to think it works.

I'm with you, if I want a full close shave I won't use this unless I have a good hour free! It just take ages which defeats the point really, and new blades cost to much..
Same here, i keep mine in the car and use for a touch up or for those bits i missed when shaving at stupid o clock in the morning
Anyoen know if it comes with a spare blade?
The advertising for it clearly says it's not meant to give as close a shave as a razor. It's not really a trimmer, either.
It's like any other electric razor, except it gives a better shave than a rotary/foil shaver. The cutting blade is extremely close to the skin.

As long as you buy the proper attachment, it is appropriate
These are brilliant. Not quite as close as a wet shave( but as near as dam it) therefore no razor burn or rash after use.Have been looking for something like this for years, now finally a product that works for me.
I shave my head using this with the number 3 guard. Just the right length to where my hair stops growing so when I shave all over it just looks like a short cut and not a bald head. Quality

" keep mine in the car and use for a touch up", etc etc etc ...

Correct, as per the OP's above, as well:

"The unique OneBlade shaving technology integrates a fast moving cutter (200x per second) with a dual protection system – giving you an efficient comfortable shave on longer hairs.

OneBlade does not shave too close – so your skin stays comfortable."

As per the OP's above, it's not made with a close shave in mind to begin, or whatever?.

Just looking as the shape/design of this product alone will kinda give one the impression of that anyway, if I'm honest.

As it's more reminisce of a toy shaver for children (which ofcourse doesn't exist, lol - as far as I'm aware of anyway?), then that of an adult kit, housing an adult razor for adults, or something?.

What sort of shave should one expect from an electric razor with a pencil like blade?.

As opposed to one with a proper/fuller (and flatter) blade attached to it instead, etc?.

I don't cut my own hair, but even if I did, I blatantly wouldn't buy something like this (with that some intended purpose in mind like?), nope.

I'd blatantly go for something more purpose-built' for the task at hand instead, like those WAHL one's are. :-)

The OP's above (from the way I'm seeing it at least), are for minor touches and suchlike instead, as per what @howbord said above, etc?.

It's not designed for say de-facialising both members of ZZ Top, and making them as bald as Sinade O'Connor ...

If you're expecting something like that out of the OP's above, then you're blatantly barking up the wrong tree unfortunately, and this product clearly isn't for you, etc?.

As this product will (at best), only comfortably be able to just de-facialise you from your very rough stumble at best, or whatever ... :-)
Is anyone able to advise how long the blades on these tend to last?

It depends on how often you shave but I think the packaging suggests up to a month for normal use. I’ve not found any issues with going over this though.

If you watch the video they try to make it out as an all in one razor, shave against the grain for a close shave, but it does not do that. However and I got shot down in the past others say they do, including someone who said like me they have a tough beard and they get a close shave. They market it as a proper razor and for me it certainly isn’t.

Normally on these threads you get one or two comments like mine, this time it’s the other way around
They claim its not as close as a blade, it's not the razors fault if people buying it can't read the instructions!
I have one and recommended one to all my friends.
My advice would be Google professional reviews and then make up your own mind.
I and my friends love it and if it helps it's impossible to cut yourself and I use on ALL my personal area's without any problem!!!
Even bought my mum one for ladies facial hair...
Good for pubes? Currently use a baby liss istubble but I once accidently used the 0.5mm instead of 5mm setting. Boy that was a mistake.

You are blatantly using the word 'blatantly', incorrectly

I think your barking up the wrong tree myself, I don't claim to be a member of zztop wanting a clean shave or anything like that and I know it's not a big sheep shearing kit I'm just going by the claims/pics off the manufacturer site, I'm generally a one/two day stubble at most person and what i (and other member) were saying is this just doesn't cope with that very efficiently. This pic is off official pics
38203086.jpgI would say it would take (me) a good hour to achieve a clean close shave from this, maybe I'm fussy and must get every bit smooth more than others but I've read similar comments from others on here.

I have the One Blade Pro and use it every day to shave with. Not quite as close as a regular razor and I still use shaving gel to avoid the hairs being thrown off all around the sink but it’s as quick as a razor for me (5 minutes or less) and doesn’t give any irritation. You can go with and against the grain twice before you need to rinse the gel off too so I don’t understand how it’s taking people a long time to shave with this. You have to accept the finish isn’t as good but the trade off is a good one if you have sensitive skin.
Is this suitable for body hair and private parts?
I find this really messy to use. Hairs literally go flying everywhere.

I’ll have to try and use with some shaving gel
Does it shave as close as a Braun electric shaver ?

It's not designed to shave close, it's designed as a beard/stubble tool. This is how it's described in the marketing!
Ok thankyou but ive read reviews some say close as wet shave
Reviews on Amazon I’ve read
Got this exact pack about a year ago, very good value, only downside though, although the travel case is very nice, it does eat into your luggage space a bit, better off just going without the case.
If it runs out of power, can I plug this to power and use?
