Re-confirmed today that this is still an active deal and thought it prudent to post, especially since the previous deal thread has been expired (posted over five weeks ago).

To obtain the handset at the PAYG Upgrade prices (£49.95p - 3, Orange & T-Mobile Networks; £59.95p - O2 Network) you need to use a PAYG number, which has been actively used (i.e. texting & phone calls) along with being topped up with credit.

Note that Phones4U will only accept a PAYG number from the four main mobile networks but you can easily use this with other ones out there as the handset is network unlocked & is not network branded.

More than that but I'm just posting what GSMArena has listed.

How does this compare to the Galaxy Europa and the HTC Wildfire?

It's actually a good phone for the price. Good screen, battery life OK and I like the design. For the price it's way better than the europa (screen is too small).

Check out post #1 for tech spec comparisons of the handsets via GSMArena and then check the original deal thread, as members have previously posted hands on comparisons from what I can remember.

+1 - I purchased one last year and and so far it's been a good runner.

Thanks, think I'll check this out at my local store.

I got this for a non-techie friend and he loves it, says it has "changed his life". It is a really nice phone for the money, looks decent, seems well made and isn't too big. It is unlocked - I put him straight onto giffgaff's £10 goody bag. This deal was, and is, hot.

Cheers for that - added it into the list of links in post #1.

+1 - It got me back onto Android after I had previously owned an LG GT540 Handset (from a previous deal posted on HUKD); it successfully replaced a faulty Nokia handset that I had and so far it's been a solid reliable bit of kit.

I've actually bought two more Android handsets as well (Orange Monte Carlo & a Motorola Defy, both from deal threads posted here on HUKD) with one of them to shortly replace another Nokia handset that I have.

Well done Scotty boy for posting again! cheers for links to my post...

still liking the phone... it does get a bit hot after heavy internet use, but then so does my hp netbook and orange san fran

People should really give this phone a try if you fancy some android action for £50-60 quid

No probs mate - I thought prudent to post after your thread had expired but I've also flagged you up by name in the deal thread notes, to give credit where credit is due!

Lets hope your post gets the heat this phone deserves!

brought this phone on the last deal, very good value for the money.

Here's hoping!

I have an orange san francisco which has been brilliant but I've dropped it a few times so it's time for an upgrade and this looks great. Can anyone confirm that they have managed to get this deal?

Whilst looking for some additional accessories for the handset I've come across an extended 3300mAh battery advertised on Amazon UK - it's going £10.99p plus free delivery via the market place reseller Power Shop UK but also includes an additional backcover for the handset as well (it's needed due to the physical size of the battery).

Considering buying it to see how much of an increase I'll be able to get, as I have a spare voucher to try.

According to the following post only audio is working via Skype so far I'm afraid - I don't have it installed myself (no room left for it space wise!) so hopefully another member can confirm.

Yes - It's only instore for the PAYG upgrade handset price and as per the deal thread notes.

To obtain the handset at the PAYG Upgrade prices (£49.95p - 3, Orange & T-Mobile Networks; £59.95p - O2 Network) you need to use a PAYG number, which has been actively used (i.e. texting & phone calls) along with being topped up with credit.

If your not eligible for an upgrade then you would need to pay the full price of the handset, which is £59.95p plus an additional minimal £10.00p top-up as well.

Just called them in Aylesbury and they confirmed the deal but not for me. She told me that the phone does not work on 3/Three? I think she's wrong.... She said that because I'm a direct customer to Three I can't have it for £49.95 but I could buy the handset for full price + topup.

Huwaei Blaze IS sim free - It will work with any network, its 3G enabled so should work with 3 network

You just cant get it for £49.95.... although nothing stopping you quoting another Orange, T Mob or Vodafone PAYG number that you have OR a friend or family member... thats what I did
then popping in any sim you want

Also guys check out my expired thread as most questions and answers are other info are there

One of my mates is on the 3 Network and he used that number when he did his PAYG handset upgrade last weekend - he got it for £49.95p.

Two questions.
Is this deal just for payg upgrade or can it be for a monthly contract?
Second when I go into the site it shows upgrades are only for orange, vodafone and O2. Anyone know any different?

It's for PAYG for the upgrade cost - you can easily use the handset with a contract SIM card (as it's network unlocked) but your would have to use a PAYG SIM card to purchase at the upgrade price (do you have a family member or friend who can help out?) or pay the full cost at £59.95p plus an additional minimal £10.00p top-up as well.

It's only for the four main mobile phone networks - 3, O2, Orange and T-Mobile - plus they were accepting 3 PAYG SIM cards last week as my mate got one instore. Note that you can easily use this with other mobile phone networks after it's purchased i.e. Giffgaff.

Skype voice works but no video calling option on skype even though it has front and back cameras

Does anyone know if the deal is still going as when I do a search it comes up as expired. I got in through a link I had sent to someone else.

It was still active as of Wednesday at my local store in Chiswick, London.

Thankyou scotty.

Voted hot,

Just wondering if there is any point buying this purely to use for in car navigation, assume it has a built in reciever but would I need Internet on my contract too?
