Famous, never heard of it tbh :/

There are a couple of reasons for that:
- You are young
- The more aggressive HDR style has gone out of fashion in the recent years. This is probably the only type that requires combining them on PC in post processing.
- Phones have overtaken cameras as a photography tool for hobbyists, and phones do not support HDR post processing too well.
- You often need a tripod to do it right, which is fiddly.
- The dynamic ranges of modern sensors are much better now, HDR is not needed for capturing some scenes with big DR.
- HDR is built in into many cameras and even phones now.
- Lightroom and Photoshop already covers part of the functions.

It must have been one of the first if not first dedicate software for HDR creations. I remember it loooong time before software such as Aurora HDR entered the market.

Thanks OP

Nahh,I'll pass it (or install it in the old thinkpad which has WINE already along with office 2007 enterprise edition just for the sake of it..nice excuse to reasumate my X201T to play with..).

Thanks OP, heat added.

But this is a v old version. V4.

I have Photomatix Pro 5, and the current one is V6. Although I am not sure what V6 improves.
