Not worth it at all.

Go try Krita, Mypaint, GIMP, Paint.net for photo editing. Or Affinity Photo for something actually worth buying.

For video editing, head straight for DaVinci Resolve for free. HitFilm is good for a more friendly interface.

Don't give Adobe money.

I mean Photoshop is head and shoulders above the free options. Admittedly Affinity is pretty close if you ask me, others options though just aren't worth the pain and effort, there is always something that Affinity/Adobe does better/easier.

My thoughts exactly! I have tried a few (although not all) but I always find them either cumbersome interface or buggy! I just want something that works!
I'm still on the 14 version of this don't see much great in the updates over the years to keep changing versions!!!

For most people it doesn't matter, I still use Lightroom 6 for photo editing.

They do introduce some behind the scene improvements like new codec & graphics support and also to keep up with Operating System changes. And of course the bug fixes!
What bugs me is how misleading this site (HUKD) can sometimes be! The same software posted on another thread (https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/adobe-photoshop-elements-2020-premiere-elements-2020-9599-amazon-3405865) only a few days ago had 200+ degrees, and it cost more!

It seems to depend on the first dozen or so who vote and then the rest follow blindly, its like an avalanche! Could this be what's called the mob mentality?
I bought PSE 2019 only last year in preparation for MacOS Catalina (that was the latest one available at the time), and they still haven't patched it to be fully compatible. Now that 2020 is out I guess they'll drop support for my version. The way that Adobe abandons software which is only a year old, you may as well think of it as a subscription model...
