Probably not going to get much heat for such an old game, but for me it's a good price for a physical copy of probably the best Call Of Duty game ever. The only one I put much time into anyway. A friend of mine just picked this up and said the online is working great so i've ordered a copy. As his memory of the game was from console he also said that Pinnacle Game Profiler worked perfectly too for people wanting to use a controller.

Can this be added to your steam account like other Call of Duty's

It's almost certainly the best COD game (well honestly, it's the last one I've played), but if it doesn't get much heat it will be *because* it's a physical version, not because it's old. A Steam version for this price would be a *much* more attractive prospect.

You're right. I amended my reply to be more appropriate. Still, best not to get his hopes up.

Did you read any of the reviews of it on Amazon? Everything points to it not activating on Steam. If you ordered it hoping that it would, I would just cancel it quickly. If you're happy with a physical version then, of course, go ahead, it's a great game.

Didn't realise it wont register with steam.

Other than having to manually update the game what are you missing out on by not being able to register it on Steam? It seems you have access to the same servers?

Only that you'll probably (may have been changed in a later patch, but I'm sure I always had my disc in) need the game disc in the machine to play and you'll need to manually patch it after you install it. If my disc wasn't packed away somewhere I'd actually test whether you needed it in to play, but I'd have to tear the place apart to find it. Aside from that there is no difference. It doesn't use Steam for multiplayer or cloud saves or anything useful.

You kids. It's a Lady. Lady Godiva.
