Thought this was a decent price for a larger sized cage. Overall good reviews too. Seems to retail around £35 online.

The green Rosewood Pico XL is a fully furnished hamster home! With a contemporary design, easy access hide and easy refill water bottle, it's the perfect home for Syrian and most dwarf hamsters (except Roborovski's) from 6-8 weeks of age.

To quote from RSPCA PDF sheet on hamster care:

A cage with stainless steel bars or mesh sides is preferable to one with solid sides, and it should have a raised lid.

Alright, we'll agree to disagree

hamsters can grow big and I always thought the attached wheel they come with were a Joke poor things I bought a rat wheel for mine and had it in a small guinea pig cage

the attached wheels are naff, always rattly, just get some RC wheel bearing fittings and bit of DIY to make the running smooth and silent

Mines got 4 rotastaks together and 2 wheels so loves it. I wouldn't agree with the rspca co side ring they told me chinchillas should be in a cage 8 foot tall, 6 foot wide and 6 foot long when they came to inspect my house. Nothing wrong with this cage imo except the bars might get chewed through

This cage is not suitable for a Syrian hamster - minimum recommended cage size 80cm x 50cm x 50cm. I speak from experience when I advise this - my Syrian become a much calmer animal when I moved her to a bigger cage.
