Guys there is 8x nectar points going on get them from their eBay store. For £1 more the nectar points makes more worth it than My memory
Cheaper at My memory, cold from me (y)
Samsung make great SD cards I have their Pro variant for 4K
Sammy all the way for me
Been debating getting this or a sandisk model for the switch, the U3 might make this better, but the sandisk are "official" if that makes any difference
Just need a decent mobile to put this in now!! Why are these manufacturer's taking out SD card slots FFS!!!
£2 off at checkout = £27.99, so yes, only £1 more than this Sandisk
https://www.mymemory.co.uk/samsung-128gb-evo-plus-micro-sd-card-sdxc-uhs-i-u3-adapter-95mb-s.html Not anymore it's not. :-( It's blatantly £29.99 now ... As above.
That extra £1 gets you a U3 certified 30MB/s minimum sequential write speed card, or your money back. More than worth it IMHO.
Thanks, ordered :) :)
£27.99 at Amazon now.
I've purchased before from mymemory all working fine here Samsung 64GB Pro Plus Micro SD Card was retail fully sealed parkaging, this was back in december, the memory is in my phone now works flawlessly.
Ah, not sure I've seen any complaints before, although that speed doesn't seem good, warning for windows seem to happen all the time though
MyMemory are fake. I've bought from them the card is fake; the silicone is visible on the back of the card where it shouldnt be and tests showed that the card under performed by around 65mb/s and then had various reformatting issues.... and a warning from windows relating to the storage method...
Thanks for the link it explains what card I need well. Cheers. (y)
Old man Google is best.... Leave it to you https://www.carcamcentral.com/guide/recommended-sd-cards-avoid-sandisk-ultra-cards
Thanks for explaining that, I will have to look into "High Endurance Cards" Do they class U3 cards high endurance if they don't what Read and Write speeds do they class as high endurance.
Def NOT..... dash cams write to card over and over again in a continual loop. Eventually these will fail within 12m or sooner.... Or you might be lucky and get more mileage. I realised after chewing through 2 of these exact same cards in less than 18m. Yet in my phones I've had the same one for 3 years. General consensus is to use 'high endurance' rated cards..... But flip is not as cheap as these. OP have some 🔥
I would also like to know would this be suitable for a Nextbase Duo Dashcam.
Yep got it. Thanks very much!
rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F122288630295 Hope this helps. 27.89
eBay. Works absolutely fine too.
Does it have dual drives or just has 2 different connectors.
received this yesterday, nice little device, can't complain for just over £8,got a week's holiday abroad coming up so I'll put a few films & music on it....man sorted
Ireland will look weird so far away from the continent, especially with the 6 counties missing :o
I wish you could get these with USB C connectors.
just ordered, many thanks for sharing (y)
Well, feck - I spent a pound more for a very similar card a few hours before this deal was posted. (from picstop) Meh. I'm not gonna get upset about spending a pound more than I should...... ...honest! :p
Would this be ok in a PS VIta does anyone know (obvs with a SD2VITA adapter)? Or would this be slow for loading games etc?
Bought a memory stick from these guys on ebay with item location Manchester. Says they are vat registered on the listing so can claim the vat back as buying for a business. But when the item came it came from Finland or somewhere and they couldnt issue me a vat invoice. Ended up sending it back to the Isle of Mann just out of principle bloody tax dodgers!
I knew what he meant, I was trying to be funny.
What he means is 30% of Sandisk branded memory cards are fakes. Probably the same for Samsung Evo too. Dont buy memory cards from Ebay or Amazon Market place.
Perfect. Exactly what I needed!
I think I would rather pay the extra 46p from amazon
Anyone used this site before?
Need one of these. Great in my dash Cam
My only moan is the title states SD when it's clearly a micro SD. Good price though and thanks for sharing.
This one is recommended on the yi website for their IP cameras
Endurance cards are recommended
Why better ?
i have this and Samsung EVO Plus samsung is cheaper and better than this ,https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XFZV9JY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sandisk Extreme cards use MLC memory, so more reliable than cheap cards. For a fiver more they have a 64GB warranted for dash cam use: http://www.picstop.co.uk/micro-sdxc/sandisk-high-endurance-video-monitoring-card-micro-sdxc-64gb.html
now at £28.59. should be marked as expired- how do you do that?
MyMemory? Or have they finally come ashore?
My bad!. What I saw was rather an affiliate/sponsored link instead, lol. It appears that Amazon only do up to 64gb of the high endurance microsd memory card's instead ... Here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=computers&field-keywords=64gb+high+endurance+micro+sd&rh=n:340831031,k:64gb+high+endurance+micro+sd
Thanx for that, but the real reason as to why I'm asking, is mainly because of confusing thing's like this too: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Class-Android-MicroSDHC-Memory/dp/B074B28H3S/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1524513676&sr=1-1&keywords=SanDisk+Ultra+Android This is one that for the BULK of last Year, Amazon themselves were pushing! (I believe even the 7 inch Amazon Fire HD Deals that came up on QVC not just last Year, but the Year before also had/contained the exact same 32gb Sandisk 'Android' memory card - as per my above link ... ) The one that you found in your previous link (even though relevant), is more run of the mill stuff (in relation to Sandisk's standard product Branding, etc?). But the one that I found in my above link, is predominantly GREY (very un-Sandisk Branding like?, lol). So that for me is mad confusing man?. :-( I did notice a read/write speed difference between our 2 Sandisk 'Android' memory card's though ... Though I'm not entirely sure that that in itself would/should warrant a Brand colour change scheme mind? (as the speed diffrence's between the 2 are actually fairly nominal). But I could be wrong?.
my receipt says VAT £0.00 ? I was just curious if they were doing some sort of tax scam or they're grey imports or something. It had an address of Netherlands on it so I wondered if it's being shipped from outside the EU as my company imports things from China that come into NL and get posted on this way.
It's an American, or British Store ... I believe that VAT has already been 'applied' to the total price, etc? (and from that we then get our £8.99).
How come they don't charge VAT? AFAIK there is VAT on memory cards ....
This is perfect for a raspberry pi!
Apps run on random input-output of data. Standard Class 10 card only gets around 0.5mb write and 5mb read per second, really not ideal for running apps. A1 Standard should at least achieve 4 times that, especially on the write side of things. Personally after trying out a UHS-1 card to run apps on my partners Android I wouldnt recommend it, took forever for some apps to load, and some even just crashed. Gave the A1 class card a go and it runs apps almost as quick as the internal flash memory does.
No it is USB 3.0 speed, the obvious difference from a regular USB 3.0 flash drive is you can plug it into your phone. If you don't need it to plug into a phone then it is probably better/cheaper to get a regular USB 3.0 drive.
Is it full usb c Speed ? Otherwise no difference from usb 3.0
I have tried it many times now. AMAZON doesn't bother a s**t
A tenner saved is £20 waving goodbye. They are fake cards. Most that you find on e-bay will be fake. I have bought plent of fake cards and thumbdrives to know this. Some may even have 128gb of storage but they will fail quickly as they are very poorly made. They will appear to be the correct size until you try accessing the data. Then you will find the data is corrupted. By the time you realise they are fake the supplier will be gone. A card advertised as a 128gb card may be a 16 or 32gb card, although will show up as 128gb in windows.
Mine came today and they sent me a 7 million gb card
umm sort of maxtor started doing it in 1995 or so and other's followed
Erm here's a novel idea.... Could the manufacturers and retailers perhaps advertise the actual capacity they are delivering? Sacrilege I know especially in the over promise under deliver culture of IT.
Just what we need, another Class rating written on an SD card. And they wonder why people are put off by technology
Not all people need a 1080p TV but most will choose it over a 720p one.
Thanks 6ixFoot1, I'll give this some thought. Look's a good price. I have a USB 3.0 Type A port so I think this would be compatible.
I'm no expert but this just popped up in my email - https://www.mymemory.co.uk/sandisk-128gb-ultra-fit-usb-3-1-flash-drive.html?utm_source=MyMemory+Newsletter&utm_campaign=b2fcf34f6b-SanDisk+128GB+Ultra+Fit+USB+3.1+Flash+Drive+-+A%2FB&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_135199ec50-b2fcf34f6b-67573833&mc_cid=b2fcf34f6b&mc_eid=e665763c33 Maybe be better and faster although it will take up a USB port.
Hi, I'd be grateful if someone could advise me if this card would be suitable for a laptop I have just bought for my daughter who turned 11 today :D it's a Tesco Link 14" Ultra slim which for £200 is astonishing. It states that the memory can be ungraded with ether a Micro SDHC/XC up to 200gb or a M.2 2242 SSD. The laptop only has 32gb left in memory and we are planning to buy Office 2016. She will use the laptop for storing photos, music, and as of late her own homemade pop video's. Any advice greatly appreciated.
It's like everything else that stores data. It'll be fine until it isn't. First sign of anything dodgy, replace it with a new one. Fortunately they're relatively cheap. I'd ignore webcam man.
I'm tempted to go for this option; http://www.picstop.co.uk/microsd-sdhc/sandisk-high-endurance-video-monitoring-card-micro-sdhc-32gb.html I realise its still Sandisk but dash-cam specific and supported by the video clip above. My current one was supplied by Nextbase with the unit, its a Sandisk Ultra SDHC 48MB/s Class 10.
There doesn't appear to be anything that guarantees performance with a dash cam, but guarantees are getting tighter anyway, so that's not much of a surprise. You can pay twice the price and get twice the life, which isn't much of an improvement. Given the huge variation in dash cam quality and the number of different read/write processes used, I find it strange that the man with the webcam can make such a sweeping statement. Nextbase says "Use a good quality branded SD card between 4GB and 32GB (suggested) and format the card from with in the SETUP menu of the iN-CAR CAM."
Look for one stated to be a 'high durability" or "high endurance" card eg.
Can you suggest a suitable option for dash cams?
I hear you, but more than a 1 Month window between your original Deal, and the OP's Deal transpired ... So it's fair game apparently?.
Ask them, and see what pop's?. :-)
Damn, will Amazon price match?
Cold because my thread for this is from February and the deal is still active: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/back-in-stock-samsung-evo-u3-2999-picstop-2890083
Any good for retropie?
Yep!, but not anymore ... It's £27.99 - as of late Sunday Evening (the Weekend just gone ... ) :-( This Deal needs expiring.
I feel like this price is what its generally been at for awhile now.
Already posted unfortunately...
Your link takes us to a Compact Flash Card!
Amazon now has this for 29.90
Glad to hear it lol
The Samsung card would be the best bet just in terms of compatibility.
Which would you guys that are knowledgeable in sd card, suggest is the better 128gb card for the Samsung S8+ ? This, or the Samsung 128gb that was recently available for around the same price?? I bought 2 of the Samsung cards from the previous Samsung deal, but I'm just interested to hear some thoughts on this, if anyone has knowledge on both cards?
I always buy sd cards & usb sticks direct from amazon & run tests to check they're genuine. Even big retailers have unwillingly sold fakes before so always best to check & Amazon don't quibble over returns (not that I've ever had a fake from them). My memory are trustworthy imo, so I'd have sent it back.
If it was only a couple of days you must have got unluckly and got a faulty one.
Where did you get yours from? I got mine from my memory. I use it for WhatsApp and after a couple of days the phone says it’s messed up.
I use this exact card in a Dji osmo, note 8 and gopro. Never found a single issue with these myself.
Odd. I've got 5 of them. 2 in phones, 2 in tablets & 1 in my wiiu. I'd have expected the wii u one to get messed up as I'm continually adding games to it on the laptop & installing them on the console & I run almost all my emulators from it too, so it's used heavily & is removed & reinserted a helluva lot, but it's still running fine. Damn quick at transferring files too.
