Thanks, went for the Ultra Dual Drive Go as I wanted a stick that didn't need to be fast, but wasn't abysmally slow either - it looks like write speeds are around 45MB/s.

is the USB-A/USB-C one fast?

Typically they write at 30MB/s for a few seconds then dribble down to 10-15MB/s if it's a particularly big copy due to the way their buffer works. I've gotten into arguments about how people shouldn't even post these if the most important spec - the write speed - isn't shown anywhere. My favourite analogy for it - advertising a kettle as having a 1 litre per second pour speed but not mentioning that it takes half an hour to boil. But because people heat them up, people keep posting them. This is Sandisk palming off old kit at a seemingly reasonable price to folk who don't know any better. If they were proud of the write speed it'd be right there on the packaging.

Sandisk only says lower than advertised read speed and varies by capacity. Best to hunt for reviews.

Yes, it uses Star Trek gobbley gook technology to protect you.

SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive 128GB - £14.69 @ PicStop
Posted 26th MayPosted 26th May
Not as small as the Curzer Fit or the Lexar JumpDrive S47 but still ok.

I have had mixed results with these as had one fail. I suspect it is because they get very hot as they are so small so nowhere for heat to dissipate

I wonder what the write speed is...

These are great little drives...but so tiny I keep losing it !! (lol) (lol)

Had this pen for 4 months and it stopped working 😔😔😔 worst USB pen I have bought . I still have my old 4 and 8 GB SanDisk pens still going strong

If you bought it from Amazon, it would be easier & probably much faster to get them to refund/replace under warranty..You need to get on Amazon online CS chat (via this link: & let them know. Initially, they'll probably offer a refund as gift balance, but you're well within your rights to get a refund to your payment card if you prefer. If you're not aware, it's your rights as a customer (under the CRA 2015 to approach the retailer for this kind of warranty claim. Once they resolve it, you should cancel your RMA request with SanDisk. I've been shopping online for 20 years & have found Amazon's CS exemplary with this kind of thing (compared to any other company or manufacturer).

Celestron PowerSeeker 21036CGL - 70AZ Telescope ( 2 Years Warranty) - £70.19 With Code Delivered @ Picstop

As long as you know what to expect they will give you a decent capability under dark skies. In fact, only under dark skies and on nights with no atmospheric turbulence you will get the extra performance of the 250. As for the weight, 8" tubes are usually up to 10kg, while 10" up to 15kg. Given the length as well, for me, personally the 10" are a bit unwieldy - in the sense I start feeling a "struggle" which puts me off from setting up the telescope. The base would be a bit heavier than the OTA. Other people consider the 10" dob the limit of "reasonably portable", so it is a matter of opinion. My own biggest aperture is a 9.25" SCT, which is more portable than my 8" newtonian, but of course it is a whole different price range (bought second hand at least).

Lots of information on internet on best telescopes for kids.

I ordered the same scope from First Light Optics last month rather than RVO. Like yourself I had delays in getting the telescope. I emailed them after their 10 working day lead time to which they said they were expecting stock the following week and their supplier would ship it direct to me rather than ship it to them first. Try them out next time? As for the actual telescope, the skies haven't been too kind recently so haven't had much chance to get it out and see the sky. The eyepieces feel cheap as chips but I'm looking to get some nice ones soon, and a barlow lens.

Anyone know if the celestron ps70/700 is any good, looking at argos as I've got a 60 voucher to use this one is 100 quid

It works but I would recommend using High Endurance Cards (usually expensive) which have better life span as Dash Cams need to do Loop recording. If I am making sense. :) From this POST , which are at great price at the moment.

Good to use with Dashcams

heat added. don't forget 3.3% cb on tcb as well :)

Cheers - just picked up three of the 64Gb ones for me and the old man

Great for those with dash cams I appreciate allot of people say they never had an issue with a normal micro sd but often if you look into it you may find that most non-endurance cards don't support dashcams so for something as important as a camera it probably worth spending a few pound more for an endurance card like this just for that peace of mind. Just my opinion don't have a go.

I got 2 of these @ £10.99 last month from Amazon. Aghhhhhhhhhhhh. They work well in my dash cams front and rear. No write errors or need to format on a regular basis.

Typical, I was looking for this a few days ago but went with another cheaper brand.

Ya, MP3 players are kinda passé in the modern world now, but if you want a small ,compact music player , nothing beats these, just wish the ones with full colour screens had BT And sd capability, my eyes are too old to read the lcd screen in sunlight now 😞

I have been using this for nearly 10 years. It's still like new. The sound quality, battery life, price... Just great device

Not supported by Rockbox unfortunately.

They support flac files out of the box, but with Rockbox, you get the ability to add equaliser profiles that really make these players shine, they are THE best sounding MP3 player out there
