It's not brexit. Prices are going up globally. In germany on the main computer/tech site (Alternate.de) this one is €14.79 + €2.99 shipping. Even at the peak of about €1.40 to the £ that's £10.33 or £12.47 with shipping.

If you're shooting outside at iso 100-400 you'll find the quality of this cam is pretty damn awesome. Inside, in low light/high iso conditions these (and any other action cams) are pretty rubbish. The iso is what determines the cameras sensitivity to light. The lower the number the less sensitive it becomes and the better the picture quality. The higher you push the iso setting, the more sensitive it becomes to light but at a trade off for picture quality and grain. Shutter speed and aperture won't directly affect the quality of the picture you're capturing but the iso setting will. Certainly don't push it above 800 (ideally keep it below 400) and you'll be happy with the quality.

Would this work OK in a raspberry pi?

I'm not too familiar with Raspberry Pi, but looking around the answers seems to be, "it might".

An issue is that from what I glanced the Pi only supports FAT32 file systems up to 32GB in size, whereas SDXC cards of 64GB and above come pre-formatted as exFAT. So you'd need to partition the card into 32 GB chunks and format each of them as FAT32.

If you just want something that works you might want to just grab a 32GB SDHC card, also discounted. I can't say how speed on random accesses compares unfortunately.

100 write speed? nope
4k may be 100 Megabit but card speeds are in bytes ( factor 8 difference) so any decently fast card can do 4k, generally the easy way to see now is the v30 mark but you dont even need 30MB/s generally
