You can get a lot of mops for around this price, but they are not this quality. There was one posted on here which was 900W which is not powerful enough and leaves the floor wet.

I noticed that, unless this one is an improved higher W? I just used the video to show what it was like

I have a Vax one and it is great, especially when you have dogs and kids like me. Also you are not using the chemicals but still gettting rid of 99.9% of germs.

Anyone know if they get them in the day before. Don't want to miss it.

comes up in bristol store ok.......good deal

I have a couple of steam mops and personally i think the best one is the one that's 25 quid in Asda!

Read a couple of reviews about a flimsy handle. Anyone got one can comment?

is there something like this but VERY portable for cleaning pots and pans?

For a house with no room for a dishwasher, a portable steam pots and pan cleaner would make it much easier to clean up after cooking.

In the nicest possible way, what's the point ? isn't it just another 'gadget' cluttering up the place ... "use it once and put it away" and eventually take it to a charity shop ... we have wooden and stone floors and just use a squeezy mop thingy and a bucket, no filling reservoirs no cables to drag around and snag on the furniture ... or am I missing something ?

I use my Vax one all the time, we only have carpet on the stairs and it cleans and disinfects without chemicals as well as leaving the floors almost dry. I have kids and dogs and can run this over the dog beds to freshen them up too.

WITH THE LIDL OFFERS, THEY HAVE DIFFERENT OFFERS IN DIFFERENT AREAS SO ONE DAY IT WILL COME TO YOUR AREA. REGISTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH THEM AND ONE DAY IT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO YOU TOO!

Considering these were £100+ a few months back, I am tempted and they do look good. However I too am thinking "will I use it or will it go under the stairs with the popcorn maker and all the booze that no-one likes?"

Can you use this on standard old fashioned floorboards? I am really tempted as we have cream carpet in the bedroom but most of the house has floorboards.

Does clean with the power of steam mean anything to anyone else?
Or am I the only one who stays up until the early hours watching infomercials for Insanity and the Power Mop X5?!
Anyhows, looks like a good deal, will check instore next week.
Seems like an ideal Valentines Day present.

we have a steam mop in our house. at first i said whats the point but now i use it everyday

Now you're cleaning, with the power of steam.

This is the same as the X5 (from the looks of it) which is £99 brand new - so at this price an amazing deal.

We've tried 3 different steam cleaners - all highly recommended and the X5 beats them all hands down, its an amazing steamcleaner tbh. I only use the floor (tiled) and steamer nozzles - but was amazed at how well it worked.

Someone commented on the weak handle - I have to say that is the only downside. It doesn't break - but just feels a bit flimsey.

For this price - a steal and just enforce that . . if it is the same as the X5 (and it looks identicial with all the attachements) that won the Which best steam cleaner award as well.

need a new steam mop too, thanks.

How can you tell if your store is going to have stock ?

I bought one from Lidl a few months ago - was £40 back then. The handle is very weak and split into two first time I used it. Clicked back together but I don't think it will last long so I returned it. Also this doesn't have a trigger to release steam, its constant so your floors will get wet, not great if you laminate flooring.

Crikey, that's double the price!

Double the price, That's why they call me Terry TIbs

Are these really any good on carpets? We used to have laminate flooring but it was so cheap and crappy looking that we went back to carpet.

I can say this steamer is a 5* product from my own personal experience. Cleaned dirt even in deep grouting, very pleased with it! Definitely worth it
