Consider this:

this item has been shipped all the way from China

£1 less VAT = £0.83
Poundland would have paid approx £0.40 for this, maybe less if it came in direct from the Far East and not via a UK supplier.
.
Supplier margin would mean that its cost about £0.12 to make, less if there was a UK supplier involved.

This is an mazing amount of product for a manufacturing cost of 12p or less yet there are others things you can buy which are far less substantial than this yet we are charged £££'s. Makes me wonder if we are being ripped off in the UK LOL

"Ping-pong was invented on the dining tables of England in the 19th century, and it was called Wiff-waff! And there, I think, you have the difference between us and the rest of the world. Other nations, the French, looked at a dining table and saw an opportunity to have dinner; we looked at it an saw an opportunity to play Wiff-waff."

Voting cold, family not included.

Nah, I voted hot really, who wants one of those?

Tomarow I'm on mission to find 1

One of its name. ITS, not it's. Pedantry must apply everywhere if used.

Shouldn't that be "one of its names", plural?

smudge921 h, 28 m ago

no, its wood.

Surely its not? Maybe it's color confuses the issue.

This has been voted over 1000 degrees yet how many people have actually managed to find them in their local store out of interest???

Shame it's the advance set, I wanted the one for beginners.

EXCELLENT point!!

EXCELLENT point!!

That's how it is with most of the stuff here, lately. For example B&M deal with £1 Rolson glue gun - over 900C but only one person commented on actually getting one and even then it was a full price on the shelf.
