Pink Floyd. One of the few bands that stand the test of time, unlike almost all 'modern stuff'.
Not everyone's taste but , to my eyes (and ears) just the best.
God, i wished i could play the guitar, but with no patience and fingers like clubs, I've got no chance.
Thanks OP for your deal and heat.

Great album, I’ll keep an eye on this...
Might benefit from having Pink Floyd in the title.

Maine road 8/8/88 probably the strongest acid I ever took.

Modern stuff can be good too - there was lots of rubbish in the 70s and 80s that we've just forgotten about.

Arcade Fire, Tame Impala, LCD Soundsystem, The War on Drugs - all modern bands that will hold up in the long run imo

Agreed !

Early years with Syd anyway..
My favourite album of all time.
Looks to be the cheapest it's been. As OP says normally over £90 & much more

Amen.
Magnificent album....
Fantastic album. Their best ever live performances in my opinion (without Waters). Another one to look at is the Berlin Live concert Waters did with a tonne of special guests. I’m 33 so was just luckily enough to see Gilmours Pink Floyd in the late 90s/early 00s when Richard Wright was still around. Also got to see Waters do the Wall at the O2. Recently though just been seeing tribute acts like Australian Pink Floyd and Brit Floyd, if you want to experience what a real Pink Floyd concert is like then these two are awesome.

Saw Think Floyd locally last year, they played the whole of The Wall and some others
Like listening to the Albums!!
Does it have a flashing Led on the side... How cool was that on the CD

Same age as you, but not seen Floyd together unfortunately. Have seen Gilmour, Waters, and Mason live on their own many times though.
Great post. I've held off buying this on account of the previous price, but couldn't resist it now. Loved Floyd for over thirty years and this album has to be the pinnacle of their live output.

How easy is it to change as you have reminded me it needs doing .
Got the original vinyl of this when it came out as a souvenir for Earl's Court. May get this as a player. Just before I went to Uni I took my younger brother to a couple of gigs, so the first 2 gigs he saw were Zeppelin at Knebworth and Floyd playing The Wall at Earl's Court. He has me mum to thank for that.

I also saw Think Floyd locally to me a couple of years back. They are good but in comparison to Australian Pink Floyd or Brit Floyd they are like a pub band, I don’t mean that disrespectfully, just trying to paint a picture.

Oz Floyd/Brit Floyd have bigger bands, more instruments, backing singers etc so more in line with a proper PF concert and do all the cinematic stuff and light show stuff you would expect from a real PF concert. Honestly it’s like the real thing

I must say Australian Pink Floyd are quite excellent. Seen them twice at the Royal Albert hall back when one could get very cheap tickets. Was going to see Brit Floyd just a few weeks ago for the first time at our local public hall but as we all know mass gatherings were stopped & the hall closed Quite ironic really because just the week before I saw John iIlsley which was the last show there & at that time had no plans to close.

Sadly not, but I have been replacing the AA battery in the cd cardboard every 2 years for 25 years, so it is still blinking

I have just done that for the first time. Battery expired in 98 and hasn't leaked. Very impressive.

I disagree, in every single decade since popular music has existed there has been incredibly good music. There's absolutely amazing music right here right now. People resist change. I can easily make a massive list of music I like from the 1940's to the present in every decade. I also like just about every genre of music going. Music is music, if it sounds good it sounds good.

I used to be a guitar teacher and I've played guitar since 1992, I always find incredible musicians on YouTube, there's people way more advanced than Hendrix, BUT they didn't come up with the ideas he did. If I was forced to make a list of guitarists I admire then there's no time left in my live to compile that list. I love the talent of people like Neon Vines. I have no idea how one person can program, compose, sing and multitask a live performance to that precision, she is a genius.

Fair point. I'm not going to argue. Its just my personal taste of course.
I'm late 50s and acting like my dad did.
I just look back at the Beatles, Queen, rolling Stones etc and just weep at Justin Bieber and the like.
Where are all the new 'super groups'?.
Most will disagree with me and that's fine, we all are different.

I had to use a blade to cut down the sides(inside) and got it out eventually, still tearing some of the internal card. I put a new battery in only to find it didn't work. Oh well. Good luck.
