does your PC have to be on to use this or can I stream from my NAS device (Buffalo Linkstation)?

Thanks

I'm not certain but from what I can make out the PC would have to be on as it streams directly from the PC via a music program. Not certain about that though.

All the specs are here:

firebox.com/pro…512

Or you can load some kind of upnp music server onto your linkstation (I dont think it already has one right?)

Although they have been posted cheaper the last few days anyways (think the cheapest was about £40 from scan.co.uk)

Sorry, cheaper on Amazon I'm afraid. Posted yesterday.

I bought one of these, and had inundated problems with it. Am in the process of getting a refund at the moment.

The software was out of date and would not upgrade! I then downloaded to a SD/MMC card and tried to upgrade that way, and it crashed the system! Finally, spent 3 hours on Pinnacles live chat support, got cut off twice when the technician went 'absent' and did not come back to me, and when someone finally stayed on to help, they did not understand what the problem was! and actually said they could not help any further!!

So..not a good experience for me!

Both me and my brother have had this and the next product up for a couple of years now, never any problems. works superb!

Bought one a couple of weeks ago from Ebuyer when a little more expensive (used £10 google checkout discount though). Absolute doddle to set up. Downloaded all new firmware immediately without a problem. Also got a Netgear MP101 and although more network problems with the Netgear, it is more usable - the Soundbridge is good, but a little too simple. The internet radio is good though.
I'm using a NAS box with TwonkyVision on it (google it) - it works great.
